In today's Gospel, Jesus tells about a self-sufficient rich man who dies and winds up in the flames of hell. At a distance the rich man sees Lazarus,
held in the arms of Father Abraham. He begs the patriarch to send Lazarus with a single drop of water. Abraham explains that a "great chasm"
separates heaven from hell. No one can cross from one side to another…. This is a hard teaching. In this life, we are like salmon in a river: either
struggling to get upstream - or drifting downstream. A live fish, of course, goes against the current while a dead fish "goes with the flow." For that
reason, the Bible refers to hell as eternal death - and heaven as eternal life…. Our daily choices have eternal, life and death consequences. To
understand how this works, early Christian writers used a striking image: They compared the human soul to clay. When moist, clay can change
shape, but when placed in the oven it retains its shape forever. In this life we can always change, but at the moment of death, our form remains
forever - either looking to God or turning away from him…. So all our life we are making a choice that at the moment of death will remain fixed
forever. St. Francis of Assisi describes that choice at the conclusion of his Canticle to Brother Sun and Sister Moon. After praising God for his marvelous creatures, Francis speaks about death. He calls her Sister Death: Praised be You, my Lord for Sister Death, from whom no one living can
escape. Woe to those who die in mortal sin! Blessed are they She finds doing Your Will. No second death can do them harm.

Analizując treść znanej przypowieści o bogaczu i Łazarzu, musimy się oprzeć pokusie zbyt uproszczonej jej interpretacji. Nie jest prawdą, że gdy
komuś znakomicie wiodło się na ziemi, po śmierci na pewno trafi do piekła, a gdy komuś w życiu doczesnym się nie wiedzie, otrzymał przepustkę
do nieba. Do nieba bowiem nie idzie się tylko dlatego, że się było biednym, a do piekła tylko dlatego, że się było bogatym….. W perspektywie
biblijnej niebo jest jakąś formą ostatecznego naprawienia wszelkich przejawów niesprawiedliwości, wyrównania bilansu doznanych w życiu
doczesnym radości i smutków, przyjemności i cierpień, bogactwa i biedy: "Wspomnij, synu, że za życia otrzymałeś swoje dobra, a Łazarz
przeciwnie, niedolę; teraz on tu doznaje pociechy, a ty męki cierpisz". Zauważmy jednak, że ów bogacz cierpi męki nie dlatego, że był bogaty, lecz
dlatego, że będąc bogatym, nie zainteresował się głodnym, okrytym wrzodami żebrakiem, który daremnie czekał na pomoc "u bramy jego pałacu".
Należy również przypuszczać, że Łazarz szczęśliwie znalazł się "na łonie" Abrahama (czyli w gronie zbawionych) nie tylko dlatego, że wiele na
ziemi wycierpiał, ale dlatego, że mimo cierpień i doznanej biedy słuchał "Mojżesza i Proroków", starając się żyć zgodnie z przykazaniami
objawionymi przez Boga. Można więc powiedzieć, że ewangeliczna przypowieść o bogaczu i Łazarzu jest wezwaniem do wierności wobec Bożego
prawa oraz przestrogą przed demoralizującą siłą bogactwa.

En el evangelio de hoy, Jesus habla de un rico auto-suficiente que muere y se encuentra en las llamas del infierno. A lo lejos ve a Lazaro, en los
brazos del Padre Abraham. Pide una gotita de agua, pero Abraham que un "abismo inmenso" separa el cielo del infierno. Nada puede pasar de
un lado al otro…. Es una ensenanza dura. Nuestras decisiones diaras tienen consecuencias eternas. Para entender como este sucede, los primeros escritores cristianos usaban una imagen llamativa: El alma humana, dijeron, es como barro. Cuando esta mojado, el barro puede cambiar su
forma, pero cuando se pone en el horno, retiene su forma para siempre. En esta vida podemos cambiar, pero al momento de morir, nuestra forma
se queda para siempre - mirando a Dios o dandole la espalda…. Entonces toda nuestra vida estamos haciendo una eleccion que al momento de
morir se quedara para siempre. San Francisco de Asis describe esta eleccion al final de su Cantico al Hermano Sol y Hermana Luna. Despues de
alabar a Dios por su creacion maravillosa, Franciso habla de la muerte. La llama Hermana Muerte…. Loado seas, mi Señor, por nuestra hermana
la muerte corporal, de la cual ningún hombre viviente puede escapar. ¡Ay de aquellos que mueran en pecado mortal!: bienaventurados aquellos a
quienes encuentre en tu santísima voluntad, porque la muerte segunda no les hará mal.

De La Salle to Hold 115th Annual Alumni Banquet De La Salle Institute proudly announces that it will be holding its 115th Annual
Alumni Banquet on October 1, 2010. The event begins with a cocktail reception at 6 pm and dinner and the program following at 7 pm. An anniversary reception for the Classes of 1960 and 1985 – who are celebrating their Golden and Silver Jubilees, respectively – will start at 5 pm. THE UNITY OF THE MISTICAL BODY; THE EUCHARIST MAKES THE CHURCH
Those who receive the Eucharist are united more closely to Christ. Through it Christ unites them to all the faithful in one body - the
Church. Communion renews, strengthens and deepens this incorporation into the Church, already achieved by Baptism. In Baptism
we have been called to form but one body" 1 Cor. 12 - 17. The Eucharist fulfills this call:"The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not
a participation in the blood of Christ?. The bread which we break, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ?
Because there is it not a participation in the body of Christ?. Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all
partake of the body, for we all partake of the one bread. 1 Cor. 10 16 - 17.
The Eucharist commits us to the poor. To receive in truth the Body and Blood of Christ given up for us, we must recognize Christ in
the poorest.

JEDNOŚĆ CIAŁA MISTYCZNEGO; EUCHARYSTIA TWORZY KOŚCIÓŁ
Ci, którzy przyjmują Eucharystię, są ściśle zjednoczeni z Chrystusem, a tym samym Chrystus łączy ich ze wszystkimi wiernyminwn
jedno Ciało, czyli Kościół. Komunia odnawia, umacnia i pogłebia wszczepienie w Kościół, dokonane już w sakramencie chrztu. Przez
chrzest zostaliśmy wezwani, by tworzyć jedno Ciało. Eucharystia urzeczywistnia to wezwanie; "Kielich błogosławieństwa, który
błogosławimy, czyż nie jest udziałem we Krwi Chrystusa? Chleb, który łamiemy, czyż nie jest udziałem w Ciele Chrystusa?
Ponieważ jeden jest chleb, przeto my, liczni tworzymy jedno Ciało. Wszyscy bowiem bierzemy z tego samego chleba" 1 Kor 10, 1617.
Eucharystia zobowiązuje do pomocy ubogim. By przyjmować w prawdzie Ciało i Krew Chrystusa za nas wydane, musimy dostrzegać

LA UNIDAD DEL CUERPO MISTICO; LA EUCARISTIA HACE LA IGLESIA
Los que reciben la Eucaristia se unen mas estrechamente a Cristo. Por ello mismo, Cristo los une a todos los fieles en un solo cuerpo; la Iglesia. La comunion renueva, fortifica, profundiza esta incorporacion a la Iglesia realizada ya por el Bautismo. En el Bautismo
fuimos llamados a no formar mas que un solo cuerpo. La Eucaristia realiza esta llamada; "El caliz de bendicion que bendecimos no
es acaso comunion con la Sangre de Cristo?, y el pan que partimos, no es comunion con el Cuerpo de Cristo? Porque aun siendo
muchos, un solo pan y un solo cuerpo somos, pues todos participamos de un solo pan" 1 Co 10,16
La Eucaristia entrańa un compromiso en favor de los pobres. Para recibir en la verdad el Cuerpo y la Sangre de Cristo entregados
por nosotros debemos reconocer a Cristo en los mas pobres, sus hermanos.

Bubbles are mesmerizing for children of all ages. Indoors or outdoors creating
bubbles is a really fun experiment that the kids love. It teaches them about
water pressure, bubbles and water displacement, and trial and error exploration. Best of all, it allows children to take part in the experiment, to freely engage in learning, and to be distracted and entertained for a few precious
meaningful moments.
At St. Bruno School, we strive for our students to feel a sense of excitement
and wonder as they learn. Creating bubbles in PreK-4 is always a fun experiment that the preschool kids love. Open-ended and hands-on activities are
great ways for students to participate in their own learning. As we observe
students engaging in creating gigantic bubbles, we can’t help but smile at their
sense of wonder and excitement. Our preschoolers simply love the magic of
bubbles!
St. Bruno… a great place to grow! Please feel free to visit us, you’ll feel it,

Las burbujas son fascinantes para los niños de todas las edades. En interiores
o al aire libre la creación de jas es un experimento muy divertido que los niños
les encanta. Se les enseña acerca de la presión de agua, burbujas de agua y
el desplazamiento, y el juicio y la exploración de error. Lo mejor de todo, es
que permite a los niños a participar en el experimento, y a dedicarse libremente en el aprendizaje, y se distraen y entretienen unos pocos momentos significativos preciosos.
En la Escuela de San Bruno, nos esforzamos para que nuestros estudiantes
sienten una sensación de emoción y asombro a medida que aprenden. La creación de burbujas en PreK-4 es siempre un experimento divertido que los niños
en edad preescolar aman. De composición abierta y participando en actividades
manuales son maneras grandes para que los estudiantes participen en su propio aprendizaje. Al observar a los estudiantes participando en la creación de
burbujas gigantes, no podemos dejar de sonreír en su sentido de la maravilla y
la emoción. Nuestros niños en edad preescolar simplemente aman la magia de
las burbujas!

Bańki mydlane są bardzo atrakcyjne dla dzieci każdego wieku. Dzieci lubią to
robić na zewnątrz i wewnątrz szkoły i jest to dla nich wielką radością. To uczy
ich o ciśnieniu wody, o rozprowadzeniu wody i o błędach w ich wydobyciu.
Najważniejszą rzeczą jest to, że mogą brać udział w doświadczeniu z wodą, a to
w sposób wolny angażuje ich w nauce w ważnych momentach ich życia.
W Szkole Św. Brunona możemy być dumni, że uczniowie uczą się wielu rzeczy
atrakcyjnych. Robienie baniek mydlanych w przedszkolu Sw. Brunona jest
zawsze doświadczeniem, które dzieci lubią. Tego rodzaju aktywność dzieci
prowadzi do poznania wielu nowości. Tak jak obserwujemy uczniów, którzy
robią takie bańki mydlane, my nie interweniujemy, ale śmiejemy się z sensu i
pomysłowości ich doświadczeń. Nasze przedszkole, rzeczywiście lubi ten rodzaj
zabawy. Szkoła Św. Brunona jest miejscem aby dzieci wzrastały. Prosimy czuć
się wolnym aby nas odwiedzić.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
This weekend, we celebrate Seminary Sunday in the parishes of the Archdiocese of Chicago. On this occasion, we honor the ministry of the many
priests who serve you so faithfully each day, as well as those who are preparing to serve you with that same charity in the future.
Here in the Archdiocese of Chicago, Mundelein Seminary is a place where vocations to the priesthood are discerned and strengthened. Each year,
as I ordain the graduates of Mundelein Seminary to the priesthood of Jesus Christ, I do so with confidence that they have been formed for fidelity
and service. The best example of the work of the seminary is reflected in the quiet and compassionate ministry of your pastor and parish priests as,
each day, they live out their ordination commitment to bring Christ to you in word and sacrament. I thank them for their good example and you for
your prayers and financial contributions which provide our future priests with the education and environment they need to “prepare well” to serve
God’s faithful. I ask you to pray for those whom God is now calling to the ordained priesthood from among our families and friends. Talk to young
men you know whom you judge would be good priests; encourage them to explore the possibility of priesthood.
I ask you to especially remember your bishops and parish priests each day in prayer. You and your intentions are in my own prayers.

W ten weekend w parafiach Archidiecezji Chicago obchodzimy Niedzielę Seminaryjną. Oddajemy dzisiaj szacunek zarówno tym, którzy służą
Wam wiernie każdego dnia, jak i tym, którzy dopiero przygotowują się, aby w przyszłości służyć Wam z takim samym oddaniem i miłością.
W Archidiecezji Chicago miejscem, gdzie rozpoznaje się i umacnia powołania kapłańskie jest Seminarium Duchowne w Mundelein. Każdego
roku, wyświęcając nowych kapłanów, których Chrystus powołał do swojej służby, czynię to z przeświadczeniem, iż otrzymali oni dobrą formację
w zakresie wiary i posługi. Owoce tej formacji wyniesionej z seminarium najlepiej odzwierciedla cicha i ofiarna posługa waszych proboszczów i
księży parafialnych, gdy każdego dnia wypełniając swoje kapłańskie powołanie niosą wam Chrystusa w słowie i sakramentach. Jestem wdzięczny
księżom za to, że są przykładem dla innych, a wam za wasze modlitwy i wsparcie finansowe, które zapewnia naszym przyszłym kapłanom
odpowiednią edukację oraz atmosferę konieczną do dobrego przygotowania ich do posługi pośród Ludu Bożego. Proszę was o modlitwy w intencji
tych osób z kręgu waszej rodziny i przyjaciół, których Bóg powołuje obecnie do kapłaństwa. Inicjujcie rozmowy z młodymi ludźmi z waszego
otoczenia, którzy według was mogliby w przyszłości być dobrymi księżmi; zachęcajcie ich, aby rozważyli możliwość wstąpienia do seminarium
duchownego.
W sposób szczególny proszę was, abyście każdego dnia pamiętali w modlitwie o waszych księżach i biskupach. Wy wszyscy wraz z waszymi
intencjami jesteście obecni w moich modlitwach. Dziękuję i niech Wam Bóg błogosławi.

Queridos hermanos y hermanas en Cristo:
Esta semana celebramos el Domingo de Seminario en todas las parroquias de la Arquidiócesis de Chicago. En esta ocasión, honramos el ministerio
de muchos sacerdotes quienes, de manera fiel, les sirven a ustedes día a día, así como a aquellos que se están preparando para, en un futuro, servirlos con la misma caridad.
Aquí en la Arquidiócesis de Chicago, el Seminario Mundelein es un lugar donde se disciernen y fortalecen las vocaciones para el sacerdocio. Cada
año, cuando ordeno a los graduados del Seminario de Mundelein al sacerdocio de Jesucristo, lo hago con la confianza de que se han formado para
la fidelidad y el servicio. El mejor ejemplo de la labor del seminario se refleja en el tranquilo y compasivo ministerio de su pastor y de sus sacerdotes parroquiales, ya que, cada día, viven su compromiso de ordenación para que Cristo les llegue a ustedes, en palabra y sacramento. A ellos les
agradezco su buen ejemplo y a ustedes sus oraciones y contribuciones financieras que ofrecen a nuestros futuros sacerdotes la educación y el medio

Bulletin Deadline Any articles for the bulletin should be submitted
ten days before publication. The editorial staff reserves the right to
make changes to fit our format. Holiday weeks the bulletin deadline
is fifteen days before publication. Electronic submissions are
accepted at our parish email address.

BAPTISM
Please call the rectory to make arrangements. All parents and
godparents are required to register for and attend a Baptismal
Preparation session. English Baptisms are on the first Sunday
after the 9.00AM or 12.15PM Mass. Polish Baptisms are on
the second Sunday after the 10.30AM Mass. Spanish
Baptisms are on the third Sunday after the 2:30 PM Mass.
MARRIAGE Call the rectory to make arrangements at least
8 months in advance. Your date will be confirmed at the first
meeting with priest or deacon. Pre-Cana conferences are
required.
SACRAMENT OF THE SICK AND COMMUNION
CALLS
Please call the rectory to have a priest come for the sacrament
of the sick. If you have been hospitalized or are homebound
and wish a Minister of Care to bring you Communion, please
call the rectory.
CONFESSIONS: Thursday 3:00PM - 4:00PM and 5:00 PM
- 6:00 PM, Saturday from 4:00 to 4:45 PM and Weekdays
after the 7:00 AM Mass.

sprawę chrztu św. Rodzice i chrzestni sa proszeni aby się
zapisali na lekcję przygotowawczą do chrztu św.
Chrzty w języku angielskim udzielane sa w pierwsza
niedziele miesiaca w czasie Mszy św. o godzinie 9.00AM lub
12.15PM. Chrzty w jezyku polskim udzielane sa w druga
niedziele miesiaca w czasie Mszy św o godz 10.30 AM.
Chrzty w jezyku hiszpanskim udzielane sa w trzecia niedziela

ustalona podczas pierwszego spotkania z ksiedzem lub

KOMUNIA SW I SAKRAMENT CHORYCH.
Prosimy dzwonie na plebanie aby prosic ksiedza o sakrament
chorych .Jesli ktos jest w szpitalu i potrzebuje ministrów
eucharysti prosimy równiez dzwonić na plebanie.

W ciagu tygodnia po Mszy sw o godz.7.00 AM

BAUTISMO. Por favor llamar a la rectoria para organizar
bautismo. Los Padres y Padrinos necesitan estar registrados
para classes bautismales. Bautismo son cada tercer domingo a
las 2:30 PM
LAS BODAS. Por favor llamar a la rectoria 8 meses antes de
la boda. Durante la primera reunion con el Padre o Diacono,sera confirmada la fecha de la boda. Necesitan una precana para poder casarse.
SACRAMENTO DE ENFERMOS Y COMUNION. LLamar a la rectoria para desirle al sacerdote que si puede venir.
Si usted esta hospilizado o en la casa y necesita que vaya un
ministro de comunion,por favor llamar a la rectoria.
CONFESIONES. Cada sabado de 4.00 PM a 4.45 PM. Cada
dia despues de misa de 7.OO PM. Cada jueves de 3.OO PM a
4.00 PM y 5:00 PM a 6:00 PM.
