Information for parents (and guardians) of patients staing
at the Department of Children’s Health
W Klinice Zdrowia Dziecka zwracamy szczególn uwag
na poczucie bezpieczestwa dzieci i ich komfort. Dlatego
zapraszamy rodziców i opiekunów chorych dzieci do aktywnego
uczestnictwa w opiece i hospitalizacji maego Pacjenta.
Aby uatwi nasz wspóprac w tej materii przedstawiamy
Pastwu podstawowe informacje dotyczce praw dziecka
hospitalizowanego, praw rodziców do odwiedzin i sprawowania
opieki nad dzieckiem w oddziale, a take nasze oczekiwania
od Pastwa jako osób odwiedzajcych dzieci.
At the Department of Children’s Health, we pay special
attention to the child’s sense of safety and comfort. Therefore,
we invite the parents and guardians of sick children to participate
actively in the care and hospitalisation of our young patients.
In order to further cooperation in this matter, we present here
some basic information concerning the rights of hospitalised
children, the rights of parents to visit and care for children
staying in the ward, and also information concerning our
expectations towards you as visitors.
1. Kto moe uczestniczy w opiece nad dzieckiem?
Jeli jestecie Pastwo rodzicami lub prawnymi opiekunami
i w trakcie hospitalizacji dziecka jestecie zdrowi, moecie
uczestniczy w opiece nad maym Pacjentem w naszych
klinikach. Jeeli pragniecie za, aby opiek nad Waszymi
pociechami sprawoway inne osoby, wystarczy, e uzyskacie
zgod Kierownika Kliniki i doczycie do dokumentacji
dziecka owiadczenie zawierajce dokadne dane tej osoby.
1. Who can participate in the care of the child?
If you are the parents or guardians of the child and you
are healthy at the time of the hospitalisation, you can
participate in the care of the young patient in our department.
If you would like some other person to take care of the
child, it is sufcient to obtain the permission of the Manager
of the Children’s Health Department, accompanying the
child’s records with a statement containing exact details
of that person.
2. Kto i kiedy moe odwiedza dziecko?
Wszyscy rodzice i opiekunowie prawni maj prawo
do odwiedzania swoich podopiecznych w godzinach
od 7:00 do 20:00. W nocy z dzieckiem moe przebywa
1 osoba, w dedykowanym pokoju rodzinnym lub w salach
2-osobowych. Noc rodzic lub opiekun ma take do
dyspozycji pomieszczenia hotelowe.
Uwaga! Uprzejmie prosimy osoby przechodzce
aktualnie infekcj np. gryp, biegunk, zakaenie
skóry o wstrzymanie si od odwiedzin, gdy stwarza
to zagroenie epidemiologiczne dla wszystkich dzieci
w szpitalu.
2. Who can visit the child and when?
All parents or legal guardians have the right to visit their
children every day from 7.00 to 20.00. At night, only one
person may stay with the child, in a dedicated family
room or in a double room. Hotel rooms are also available
for parents or guardians staying with their child at night.
Note: If you are currently suffering from any infectious
illnesses, such as inuenza, diarrhoea or a skin
infection, please refrain from visiting the child
because this creates an epidemiological threat to all
the children in the hospital.
3. Jakie s warunki odwiedzin?
Wszystkie osoby odwiedzajce s zobowizane do
korzystania z szatni, znajdujcej si w holu gównym.
Na miejscu odwiedzajcy proszeni s o poinformowanie
pielgniarki, którego Pacjenta wizytuj. O zakoczeniu
wizyty take prosimy poinformowa pielgniark, dziecko
zostanie przekazane pod opiek naszego personelu.
Uwaga! Obowizuje bezwgldny zakaz wchodzenia
na oddzia w butach na obcasach (szpilki) ze wzgldu
na specjalistyczn, antyurazow wykadzin podogow.
3. What is required during the visit?
All visitors are required to use the cloakroom, located in
the main hall. Once in the department, visitors are asked
to inform the nurse as to which patient they are visiting.
At the end of the visit, please inform the nurse so that the
child can return to being under the care of our staff.
Note: It is expressly forbidden to enter the department
in high-heeled shoes (stilettos) because of the
specialised oor coverings in order to prevent injuries.
4. Co przynosimy dziecku?
Rodzice dostarczaj dziecku przybory toaletowe (mydo,
past do zbów, szczoteczk, grzebie, rcznik). Dzieci
mog korzysta z wasnej bielizny i odziey. Produkty
spoywcze dziecko powinno spoywa na bieco
i w porozumieniu z pielgniark, gdy nie ma moliwoci
ich przechowywania.
Uwaga! Personel nie odpowiada za rzeczy pozostawione dziecku na oddziale.
4. What should you bring for the child?
Parents should provide the child with toiletries (soap,
toothpaste, toothbrush, comb, towel). Children may
wear their own clothes and underclothes. Food products
should be administered during the visit and in consultation
with the nurse if there is no possibility of their storage.
Note: Staff are not responsible for items left with
the child on the ward.

5. Kiedy dziecko moe opuci oddzia?
Dziecko moe opuci oddzia w cile okrelonych
przypadkach:
- po wypisie z oddziau - po otrzymaniu karty wypisowej od
lekarza i zgoszeniu pielgniarce zamiaru opuszczenia
oddzialu;
- po uzyskaniu zgody na spacer od lekarza lub pielgniarki dedykowanej. Pozwolenie jest wane po zoeniu
przez rodzica lub opiekuna podpisu pod deklaracj.
Kadorazowe wyjcie i powrót prosimy zgosi
pielgniarce.
Uwaga! Dzieci przygotowywane do operacji nie mog
korzysta ze spacerów.
5. When can the child leave the department?
The child may leave the department only in very specic
cases:
- upon discharge from the hospital – once the parents
obtain a discharge report from the doctor and inform
the nurse of the intention to leave the department;
- after obtaining the doctor’s or dedicated nurse’s
permission to go for a walk. The permission is valid
only after the parent or guardian signs a declaration.
Please inform the nurse each time you go out or come
back from the walk
Note: Children prepared for surgery may not be taken
for a walk.
6. Wzgldy epidemiologiczne i bezpieczestwo
pacjentów.
Ze wzgldów epidemiologicznych oraz bezpieczestwa
dzieci nie naley:
- zabiera dziecka z oddziau bez zgody lekarza i wiedzy
pielgniarki;
- ka si i siada na ókach dzieci;
- gromadzi w salach dzieci rzeczy nalecych do
opiekunów;
- pra i suszy bielizny;
- wchodzi do pokoi innych dzieci;
- czstowa i karmi dzieci, przy których nie ma
opiekunów, bez zgody personelu;
- zakóca spokoju na oddziale;
- podawa dziecku leków bez zgody i wiedzy lekarza;
- zostawia dzieci bez zabezpieczenia óeczek.
6. Epidemiological considerations and patients’
safety
Due to epidemiological reasons and for the sake of children’s
safety, it is forbidden to:
- take the child from the hospital without the consent
of the doctor and knowledge of the nurse;
- lie down or sit on children’s beds;
- keep things belonging to parents/guardians in children’s
rooms;
- wash and dry laundry;
- enter the rooms of other children, offer or give food
to children not accompanied by parents/guardians
without the consent of the staff;
- disturb the peace in the department;
- administer to the child any medications without
the knowledge and consent of the doctor;
- leave a very young child without securing their cot.

Poranny: 8:00 – 10:00
Popoudniowy: 16:00 – 17:00
Wieczorny: 19:00 – 20: 00
7. Additional information for parents and guardians.
- Hospital rounds are held as follows:
In the morning: 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
In the afternoon: 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
In the evening: 7: 00 p.m. – 8: 00 p.m.
- Information about the state of the child’s health may
be obtained directly from the doctor or department
manager and the doctor on duty, and information on
nursing care from the dedicated nurse.
- Informacje o stanie zdrowia dziecka uzyskaj Pastwo
bezporednio od lekarza prowadzcego lub Kierownika
Kliniki oraz lekarza dyurnego, a informacje o opiece
pielgnacyjnej od pielgniarki dedykowanej.
- We do not provide any information on the child’s
health over the phone.
- Nie udzielamy adnych informacji o stanie zdrowia
dziecka przez telefon.
- Parents and guardians may eat and drink in the place
designated for this – “The Parents’ Nook”
- Rodzice i opiekunowie mog spoywa posiki w miejscu
oznaczonym jako “Kcik dla rodziców”.
- There is a restaurant offering hot and cold meals on
the premises of the Medicover Hospital
- Na terenie Szpitala Medicover znajduje si restauracja
oferujca ciepe i zimne posiki.
- Visitors should only use the toilet intended for them.
- Osoby odwiedzajce powinny korzysta wycznie
z toalet dla nich przeznaczonych.
- In the Medicover Hospital, it is strictly forbidden
to bring any kitchen utensils, such as glasses,
knives, kettles, etc, to the department.
- W Szpitalu Medicover obowizuje bezwzgldny
zakaz przynoszenia na oddzia naczy kuchennych
np. szklanek, noy, czajników elektrycznych.
