The Retirement Fund for Religious
Next weekend, December 6-7, there will be a special
collection for the Retirement Fund for Religious. Often
sisters, brothers, and religious order priests ministered for little
pay, resulting in today’s shortage of retirement savings. Your
gift to the Retirement Fund for Religious helps provide
prescription medications, nursing care, and more.

FROM THE SOCIAL CONCERNS COMMITTEE
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for your amazing
generosity! We were able to fill 30 bags of Thanksgiving "fixins"
and donate the surplus items to Metro Catholic Elementary School
which amounted to approximately $400.00. More importantly, you
helped families to enjoy a Happy Thanksgiving.
As we begin a new Church year the Social Concerns theme will be
WE ARE CALLED TO GIVE OF OUR TIME, TREASURE AND
TALENT.
We will be making sock snowmen to be distributed to the
residents of Mt. Alverna Nursing Home on December 6th after the
Saturday evening Mass. All materials will be provided. All that is
needed is your time and talent.
The Giving Tree is back! We will be contributing to the
Christmas Outreach Program at Metro Catholic Elementary
School. The tags on the tree indicate some of the items that are
needed. So that the gifts can be distributed in a timely manner our
deadline for donations will be Sunday, December 14th. All that is
needed is your treasure.
