First Announcement Dear Colleagues, dear Friends, On behalf of the Rector of the Jagiellonian University prof. Wojciech Nowak, the President of the Committee of Therapy and Drug Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences Prof. Jan Pachecka as well as the Organizing Committee we would like to cordially invite you to participate in the upcoming 9th Polish-German Symposium on Pharmaceutical Sciences, which will take place on 26-27th of May, 2017. The symposium is organised in collaboration with Polish Pharmaceutical Society. It is really a great pleasure and honour to host this conference, and standing in the tradition of Polish-German Symposia we are very happy to welcome you to our University in our charming city and work closely together for developing our knowledge in pharmaceutical sciences. The conference will offer the opportunities to share own experience, scientific ideas and develop networks between colleagues from both German and Polish partner universities. The programme consists of plenary lectures in different areas of pharmaceutical sciences. We will also give younger researchers an opportunity to present their research in short form. Welcome party, closing dinner and coffee breaks are intended to be used for personal discussion. We are very proud to organize this great event on “Towards novel concepts in pharmaceutical sciences”. We hope, that with your active participation, the 9th Polish-German Symposium on Pharmaceutical Sciences will be successful as the previous ones. Looking forward to meeting you in Kraków. Registration and abstract submission: On-line registration form and abstract template are available on the symposium webpage: http://www.uj.edu.pl/web/farmacja/9th-polish-german All abstracts must be prepared according to the abstract template. Abstracts for poster presentation should be submitted by the end of February 15, 2017. Authors will be notified of acceptance of their paper by March 31, 2017. Please use the template to prepare abstracts. The Abstracts have to be written in English and should not exceed one page. Tables and figures can be included in a text. The accepted abstracts will be distributed in electronic and printed form. Poster presentation Posters should be prepared in the maximum size of 1200 x 900 mm. All accepted posters will be displayed during the whole second day of the symposium. Posters will be attached at the allocated position. Organisers will provide technical equipment for the mounting of posters. Selected posters will be also presented in the form of short oral presentations during the last session of the conference. Important dates Registration deadline March 31, 2017. Abstract submission deadline: February 15, 2017. Authors will be notified on the type of presentation by March 31, 2017.
