CIVITAS CATALIST is the Dissemination and Best Practice Transfer Action of the CIVITAS Initiative. The project aims to
consolidate, validate and promote the results of CIVITAS. The Workshop in Krakow offers participants an opportunity for
information and knowledge exchange in the field of “Cycling & Walking”. On 23 June, a small group of CIVITAS measure
insiders will focus on the long-term evaluation of cycling- and walking-related measures and jointly develop
recommendations for potential take-up cities. On 24 June, good practice examples from CIVITAS I and II cities will be
presented to an international audience. Simultaneous translations “English-Polish” are provided. Travel cost support for
representatives from cities which are not yet CIVITAS Forum Members is possible.

TRAVEL INFORMATION
KRK BALICE AIRPORT to CITY CENTRE (www.krakowairport.pl)
The best option would be to take the airport shuttle train, it takes ca.16 minutes from the
Balice KRK Airport to the Main Railway Station (city centre). Cost is 6 PLN (1.3 EUR), ticket to be purchased inside the train. Main Railway Station is ca.15‐20 minutes walking from our conference location and ca.30 minutes to the IBIS Hotel at Syrokomli Street (via Main Market Square).
From Main Railway Station you can take the bus no.179 from the stop „Dworzec Główny
Zachód – Galeria” in the direction „Os. Kurdwanów” and exit on the 7th bus stop named „Jubilat”. Than turn right and walk ca.3 minutes to the IBIS Hotel at Syrokomli Street.
Taxi from the Airport will take 20‐30 minutes and will cost ca.50‐60 PLN.
HOTEL IBIS CENTRUM – MUNICIPALITY (UMK – workshop venue)
The best option is to walk via Zwierzyniecka Street (ca.15 minutes)
