The meeting continues the tradition of scientific debates
in Silesia on polymer materials: International Polymer
Seminars (GSP), held biannually from 1995 to 2008,
meeting “Polymers on the Odra River” POLYOR 2011
and discussion meetings of the Polish Chemical Society.
This time, the meeting, coinciding with the 60
anniversary of the organizing institution, the Centre
of Polymer and Carbon Materials of the Polish Academy
of Sciences, is devoted to progress report on polymeric
materials: environmentally friendly polymers from
renewable resources, nanostructured polymer systems,
polymers for medical applications, nanocomposites.
Following distinguished speakers kindly accepted the
invitation to deliver lectures:
There are no limitations concerning topics and subjects
of the presented posters, however, the space may limit their
number. The space will be assigned on the “first came, first
served” basis.
Like in the past, distinguished international colleagues
kindly agreed to deliver lectures. The meeting will also
provide an opportunity for younger colleagues to present
their results (“rising stars” sessions) and for everybody
to exhibit and discuss an unlimited number of poster
presentations.

Proceedings of the Conference
The selected contributions of conference participants will be
published in JCR listed journal POLIMERY. The authors
wishing to have their posters or presentations published are
kindly requested to prepare their papers according to
instructions given at the web page of the conference and
to e-mail them to the Secretary of the conference before
June 21, 2014.
Conference fee
The regular conference fee is 400 PLN. The fee for students
(including PhD students) is 250 PLN.

lunches, symposium dinner.
The conference will be held on 30th of June and

The program of meeting will cover invited plenary lectures,
keynote lectures and poster sessions, including

3. Functional polymers and polymer/filler nanocomposites
4. Medical polymers
A number of keynote lectures giving the opportunity to
promote younger scientists are planned. Contribution will be
solicited by the organizers.
