I need some information about cheap accommodation in Gdańsk.
My family would like to spend a week there and we’re looking for
a two-room apartment, partly equipped (a fridge would be nice) and
with basic furniture. There are lots of adverts on the Net, but I’d like
to get some independent opinions. We don’t want to pay too much,
but we do want to have a comfortable place to stay in. Please, help.

I’ve done it! I’ve packed all the things I’m taking to university with
me. I’m really excited – sharing a room with my best friend, Tomek
will be lots of fun! There’s only one problem: how will I survive
without my mum and her food? I know how to use a washing
machine and dishwasher, but cooking for myself? Hopefully, they
will have a good canteen.

3.2 Charlie:
A is excited about packing everything into one bag.
B is afraid that he will miss his mother.
C is worried about making his own meals.

Hi Harry,

I thought, and I might not be

you tell them which furniture
to take to our new house? It’s
all ready in the living room.
Thanks, Dad

Hello Mia,
I’m back home at last! I’ve missed my room so much. Of course,
travelling with you was fantastic, but some of those hostels in
Britain and Holland were quite noisy and dirty.
Anyway, do you like your new place? Is it better than your old flat?
Please write to tell me everything about it!
Love, Emily
3.4 Emily wrote the email:
A to complain about hostels in Britain and Holland.
B to inform Mia that she’s returned home.
C to ask Mia how she feels about moving into a new

Hi Harry,
How’s your skiing in the Alps going? I’m here in Bukowina
Tatrzańska, learning how to snowboard. It’s really great! I am
sharing a room with Paweł, a boy I met here. He is really nice,
and we get on really well with 7.1
.The only problem is that
our room is really small and 7.2
is very little furniture in it:
only two beds, a wardrobe, two chairs, and a small table.
7.3
is also quite dark, but quite cosy and comfortable.
That’s all for now, time for dinner!
Cheers,
Tomek
