Mineral Engineering Conference MEC2016 25-28 September 2016, Swieradow-Zdroj, Poland On behalf of the Organizing Committee and MEC Council we are glad to invite you to take part in the Mineral Engineering Conference (MEC2016), which will be held September 25–28, 2016 in Bialy Kamien Hotel in Swieradow-Zdroj, Lower Silesia, Poland. MEC2016 is a joined conference consisting of XII International Conference on Non-Ferrous Ore Processing (ICNOP), XXI International Conference of Mineral Processing, and LIII Symposium of Physicochemical Problems of Mineral Processing. MEC2016 is organized by the Wroclaw University of Technology in cooperation with AGH University of Science and Technology, Silesian University of Technology, Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals, KGHM Cuprum Research & Development Centre and KGHM Polska Miedz S.A. Scope of the conference The annual meeting goal is to promote effective collaboration between business and academia. You will have a great opportunity to present and discuss theoretical ideas and their practical applications in all aspects of mineral processing and coal preparation. The conference will cover the following topics: Applied mineralogy Automation and control of processes Innovative construction of mineral processing machines and equipment Minerallurgical separations (magnetic, electric, gravity separations and flotation, coagulation, agglomeration, comminution, screening, dewatering, drying, sampling etc.) Hydro and biohydrometallurgy Modification of minerals properties Recycling and mineral wastes Environmental aspects of mineral processing. Call for papers The conference presentation can be delivered in either oral or poster form after acceptance by the Organizing Committee based on either submitted abstracts or whole papers. The presentation should deal with widely understood mineral processing and physicochemical bases of minerallurgical, biometallurgical and hydrometallurgical processes and ecology issues. According to the author(s) wish, we will printed in the Proceedings of the Mineral Engineering Conference MEC2016 either short abstract, extended abstract, or full paper. The copyrights of the conference papers will belong to the authors, not to the Organizing Committee, and hence they can be published again elsewhere. Either short abstract, extended abstract or full paper should be submitted as a MS Word document via MEC2016 website (www.mec2016.pwr.edu.pl). The deadline for submitting your contribution, which will be included in the Proceedings of the Mineral Engineering Conference MEC2016, is March 1, 2016.
