We would like to invite you to participate in the XXXIX “Jaszowiec”International School and
Conference on the Physics of Semiconductors. It is a continuation of the annual meetings that
have been gathering international semiconductor physics community in Poland since 1970.
The “Jaszowiec” School and Conference in 2010 will be organized in the beautiful mountain
resort Krynica-Zdrój, on June 19-24, 2010 (Saturday to Thursday).

The scope of “Jaszowiec” meetings involves all research fields in the semiconductor physics,
including technology, experiment, theory and modeling. The Special Tutorial Session
(School) in semiconductor physics will take place just before the Conference, during the
weekend on 19-20 of June, 2010. School will contain four 3-hours long lectures on currently
important topics presented by respected experts in the fields. In Conference part, overviews of
recent achievements in semiconductor physics will be presented by invited outstanding
researches in a series of plenary morning lectures. The contributed papers of the conference
attendees will be presented in the form of oral and poster presentations during evening
sessions.
Abstract submission deadline is 22nd of March, 2010.
On June 24th, the last day of the Conference, the symposium “(Nano)characterization methods
for semiconductors” will be held. The invited speakers will give an overview of various
modern characterization tools and techniques used in semiconductor nanotechnology. The
symposium will end with a summarizing rump session.
Proceedings of the Conference will be published as a volume of Acta Physica Polonica A.
Official language of the School and Conference is English.
