IMM monitors TVN Warszawa
With the official launch of TVN Warszawa television channel scheduled for 15
December 2008, its monitoring will be available within the scope of services performed
by Media Monitoring Institute (IMM). TVN Warszawa will reach nearly 430 thousand
citizens of Warsaw.
IMM is to monitor the contents of TVN Warszawa from the first day of the channel's official
broadcast. TVN Warszawa is a new local channel of Grupa ITI dedicated to Warsaw, its citizens and
the capital's life. It will air up-to-date news, cultural highlights as well as leisure and entertainment
opportunities in Warsaw. The program is developed by a team of 70 reporters. The news team is
formed by Patrycja Redo - until last year a newscaster of the afternoon edition of "Fakty" news
bulletin on TVN and "Prosto z Polski" magazine on TVN 24. Before that she presented weekend and
evening editions of "Fakty".
The channel's target audience consists of citizens of Warsaw regardless of their age, incomes or
education. New television sets to gather at least 1.5 million viewers in front of TV sets.
TVN Warszawa launched test broadcasting on 1 November. As a target, the station plans to be on the
air 24 hours a day. The program is broadcasted under FTA uncoded system available as part of the
offer of ASTER, UPC, Multimedia Polska and Spray cable televisions, on digital platform n and Cyfra
Plus as well as in local cable televisions in Warsaw and Mazowsze Province. The cost of activating
TVN Warszawa reaches several million zlotys.
Media Monitoring Institute monitors over 900 press titles, 85 television and radio stations and almost 2000
Internet portals. Media Monitoring Institute is member of FIBEP - elite organization that associates 91 media
monitoring companies from 41 countries. IMM has also backed the activities of Responsible Business Forum
since 2002.
