Cele przedmiotu
Cel 1 In fact, all political conflict and economic and social problems which still exist in Africa caused that relations
with this part of the world shouldnt be omitted in international relations subject. Both, soft and hard power
are equally important here. The aim of this course is to present the international relations between EU and
African continents. It focuses on the evolution of Africa-EU partnerhip in last decades. This brief, but complex,
analysis of the subject displays how these relations have fluctuated and accelarated recently. It presents also
how many problems are waiting for solution still . The subject examines the most important agreements
between Africa and EU. All of these let students understand better the past and present situation of this
partnership. Its solid base to foresee and create its future shape.

Modułowe efekty kształcenia
MW1 A student who finished successfully the course can define not only the most important terms and concepts
but also he will identife and point the main Africa-EU summits and agreements. Moreover,he will be able
perceive connetions between them and reality as well.
MU2 Students are able to interpret and evaluate themselves contemporary African-EU relations. They can find and
verify themselves news and facts connected with the subject. They should also point possible future events
and solution of new problems.
MK3 Students are aware of importance of Africa-EU partnership. They evaluate advantage and disadvantage these
relations. They are ready to comment on the subject impartially and they are open to discussion on the
EU-Africa relations.
