Goran Sollscher - guitar
So many musicians have tried their hand at the Beatles' music over the years. It has seemed to
me that all of them have either created elevator music or awkwardly pretentious,
pseudo-symphonic disasters. Enter Goran Sollscher who uses his impressive skills on the
classical guitar to create a recording accessible to all tastes. Sollscher brings out a beauty in
Lennon's and McCartney's scores that we haven't heard before. In more than a few of the
tracks, Sollscher's arrangements are better than the originals. His style is smooth and
melodious, very upbeat. His ability on the guitar is quite extraordinary. Sollscher's CD gives us
the Beatles all over again.
