Czwarty album w dorobku zespołu, "All Hope Is Gone", ukazał się w barwach Roadrunner
Records, a swoją premierę miał 25 sierpnia! Album nagrany został wiosną 2008 roku, w
rodzinnej miejscowości grupy, Des Moines, a za produkcję odpowiedzialny był sam zespół oraz
Dave Fortman. Jak zapowiadał sam Slipknot, jest to najlepszy, najpotężniejszy i najbardziej
dojrzały album w ich dorobku. Album promuje singiel "Psychosocial". Slipknot należy do ciągle
rozwijających się grup w muzyce hard rockowej. To pionierzy alternatywnej sceny metalowej,
gdzie potężne riffy i ogłuszająca perkusja, okraszona jest charakterystycznymi wokalami, które
bez trudu przechodzą od brutalnych do melodyjnych partii. Wszystkie poprzednie krążki
