plays a very important part in their branch.
For many years, promotions of Kärcher
products are done in a cycle of events,
which are targeted at this segment…
Motor events that are organized across
Europe bear logos of the best and biggest companies, including the logo of
Kärcher.
Following the example of the best
and wishing to combine own passion
for motor sports and thus drawing prospective clients, BH Barbara Hucińska
firm decided to get actively involved in
sponsoring of motor sports organized in
Pomerania.
It was a nice surprise for us from the
very beginning when we were invited
Gdańsk – Polish ¼ Mile Drag Racing
Championship. From 6-8 July 2007, for
the 10th time, the best drivers came to
Sopot and competed in mountain races
at the seaside for two days. They were
competing to win and score points in
the International Polish Championship
classification, covering the distance of
over 3 km from Sopot to Gdańsk. But
it was the 3rd Lotos Rally – Baltic Cup,
held from 27-29 July 2007, that turned
out to be most spectacular.
The famous Poles in the Honorary
Committee, the largest media corporations: television, radio, press, the biggest sports teams with car champions – Lotos Race & Rally with Michał
Bębenek, 60-person Subaru Motor
Team Poland with Leszek Kuzaj, TeamFiat Auto Poland with Maciej Lubiak,
Cersanit Team and one of the richest
Poles, Michał Sołowow, Play Station
by Mr Lesław Orski (Sopot Sports Association AUTOMOBILKLUB ORSKI)
to cooperate in organizing three motor
events.
For the first time in the course of history, Pomerania, with its over a thousand-year old and proud and free City
of Gdansk and picturesque Szwajcaria Kaszubska was to host motor, motor sports lovers and outstanding racing crews during the 3rd Lotos Baltic
Cup, the Polish Car Rally Championship qualifiers. The cycle sponsored by
BH Barbara Hucińska firm also included
10 LOTOS Grand Prix Sopot 2007, that
is the Polish Mountain Car Championship and LOTOS Power Cup Pruszcz
2 Team with Tomasz Kuchar, Mitsubishi, For, Suzuki, VW Skoda Teams, and
companies: Stell, Castrol, Michelin and
Pirelli. The event with its formal opening at Long Market in Gdańsk marked
the beginning of the Gdańsk Days celebrations and St. Dominic’s Fair, the biggest European street fair.

a very attractive programme, including
the following events: official, honorary
start at Long Market next to the Town
Hall, laying flowers at the Monument in
Solidarność Square, and a feast for motor fans during an event organized at
the Wybrzeże Speedway Racing Stadi-

um (rally prolog – racing in pairs on the
cinder track, races of leading speedway
riders also with cars, quad racing, acrobatic shows on motorcycles.
The rally special stages took place on
the loose, metalled surface near Wejherowo, Szemud and Kartuzy – the
capital of Kaszuby. Service park, administration centre, media centre, and
most important – racing car wash with
Kärcher equipment were located in the
district of Przodkowo.
It was not a typical sponsoring for BH
Barbara Hućińska we had already got
used to. For the first time during the
Polish Championship, before the vehicle entered service park it had been
washed in one of the two bays, which
for the need of the rally was built and
serviced by BH Hucińska firm. The company spared no effort to wash vehicles,
which was appreciated by drivers who
could enter their service boxes in clean
cars. However, the highest award came
in the form of official thanks expressed
to BH Huciński by the organizer, Mr
Lesław Orski at the closing ceremony, in the presence of the President of
Gdańsk, Mayors of Districts and Presidents of Gdańsk enterprises.
LOTOS Power Cup Pruszcz Gdański –
¼ Mile Drag Racing Polish Championship (11 August 2007) was the last motor event organized in Pomerania. The
competition, which was held at the military airport in Pruszcz Gdański aroused
much interest among media and fans.
Two cars racing side by side with 1001200 HP under the bonnet was breathtaking.
The event thought of as American closed a cycle of motor events
in Pomerania in the year 2007 organized by Sport Association AUTOMOBILKLUB ORSKI.
We have caught up with Europe in motor sports – such words could be heard
during those sports events.! Over the
last years there has been a quantum
leap in the field of motoring in Poland,
which must not be wasted…
