TWENTY-FIFTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME Luke 16:1-13
(shorter form, Luke 16:10-13)
Jesus tells a parable about a dishonest steward who is commended for his prudence; one cannot serve both God and money.
Background on the Gospel
Today's Gospel sounds puzzling to contemporary readers, but it
can be made less so by considering the economic system which
stands behind the parable. A steward is dismissed because he is
squandering his master's property. He is called dishonest because
he is not serving the interests of the rich man, his employer. In
response the steward, in an attempt to ensure favor for himself
among the rich man's debtors, brokers repayment of the rich man's
loans by foregoing the interest and fees that had been levied to line
the steward's pockets. It is this action, in which the steward puts
aside his greed and takes the longer perspective in order to enhance his security, which is commended by the rich man.
The passage concludes with three morals for the listeners. The first
exhorts the listener to be prudent about the use of wealth. Like the
steward in the parable, those who would follow Jesus must put
transitory affairs in proper perspective. Christians should handle
the affairs of temporal life with an eye toward eternal life.
The second concerns trustworthiness. Those who can be trusted in
small things can also be trusted in great things. If Christians handle
money and other passing things responsibly, then they can also be
trusted with the affairs of the Kingdom of God.
Finally, Jesus tells his listeners that no one can serve two masters
simultaneously. God must be put ahead of money.

Parish next weekend to speak at all Masses
on behalf of the poor in developing countries. Cross International Catholic Outreach
was founded to create a meaningful link between parishes in America and the priests
and nuns working in the Church overseas in the Caribbean,
Africa, Asia, Central and South America.
This Sunday is designated Catechetical
Sunday and t allows us the opportunity to
consider the role each one of us plays, because we are baptized, in handing down
the faith and being a witness to the Gospel.

The Collection for the Seminary System for the Archdiocese of Chicago will be on September 25-26, 2010
You may have noticed cranes and construction going on around the property
recently. We suffered storm damage in
both June and July to all five parish
buildings. Damage to the roof has been
repaired, as well as a new boiler and air
conditioner in the convent. Also completed are a new carpet in one room of
the school, boiler repairs in the school, a
broken window, and repairs to the rectory roof, and replacement of air conditioning pumps in the church. We also improved the gutter system and put in ne water valves. Due to
water damage work had to be done in the sacristy and shrine
area as well. Most of the work has been covered by insurance, but so far we had to pay about $10,000 from church
funds.
We appreciate your generosity, and hope you will continue
to support us so we can maintain our buildings properly to
maintain a proper home for our Lord and for you.
If you wish to remember the deceased members of your family and your friends on ALL
SOULS DAY place their names in the envelopes found at all entrances of the church and
return in the Sunday collection baskets.

"No pueden servir a Dios y al dinero."
Evangelio
Dijo Jesús a sus discípulos: Un hombre rico tenía un administrador que fue acusado de malversación de bienes. El
amo le llamó y le dijo: “¿Qué es eso que me dicen de ti?
Dame cuenta de tu trabajo, porque no puedes seguir siendo
mi administrador.” el administrador se puso a pensar:
“¿Qué haré ahora que el amo me deja sin empleo? No tengo fuerzas para cavar la tierra, y me da vergüenza pedir
limosna… Ah, ya sé que hacer para que haya quienes me
reciban en sus casas cuando me quede sin trabajo.” Llamó
entonces uno por uno a los que tenían alguna deuda con el
amo, y preguntó al primero: “¿Cuánto debes a mi amo?” le
contestó: “Cien barriles de aceite.” El administrador le dijo: “Aquí está tu recibo; siéntate en seguida y apunta sólo
cincuenta.” Después preguntó a otro: “Y tú, ¿cuánto le debes?” Éste le contestó: “Cien medidas de trigo.” Le dijo:
“Aquí está tu recibo; apunta sólo ochenta.” El amo reconoció que aquel administrador deshonesto había actuado con
astucia. Y es que tratándose de sus propios negocios, los
que pertenecen al mundo son más listos que los que pertenecen a la luz.
Os aconsejo que uséis las riquezas de este mundo malo
para ganaros amigos, para que cuando esas riquezas se acaben, haya quien os reciba en las viviendas eternas. el que
se porta honradamente en lo poco, también se porta honradamente en lo mucho; y el que es deshonesto en lo poco,
también es deshonesto en lo mucho. De manera que, si con
las riquezas de este mundo malo no os portáis honradamente, ¿quién os confiará las verdaderas riquezas? Y si no
os portáis honradamente con lo ajeno, ¿quién os dará lo
que os pertenece?
Ningún criado puede servir a dos amos, porque odiará a
uno y querrá al otro, o será fiel a uno y despreciará al otro.
No se puede servir a Dios y al dinero.

4º Aniversario
del coro de niños
Felicidades al coro de niños "voces del Alma" en su
4º Aniversario cantado en
la misa de las cuatro de la
tarde los domingos. Este
año ha estado lleno de
bendiciones porque además de alabar a Dios con su voz ahora también algunas niñas y niños lo hacen con música tocando guitarras y
mandolinas para la Gloria de Dios; otra de las bendiciones es poder
participar en la misa de niños cada tercer domingo del mes como
lectores y ujieres. Damos gracias a Dios por un año mas sirviendo en
el ministerio de música.

XXV Niedziela w Ciągu Roku
Jezus powiedział do swoich uczniów:
„Pewien bogaty człowiek miał rządcę, którego oskarżono
przed nim, że trwoni jego majątek. Przywołał go do siebie i
rzekł mu: «Cóż to słyszę o tobie? Zdaj sprawę z twego zarządu, bo już nie będziesz mógł być rządcą».
Na to rządca rzekł sam do siebie: «Co ja pocznę, skoro mój
pan pozbawia mię zarządu? Kopać nie mogę, żebrać się wsty
-dzę. Wiem, co uczynię, żeby mię ludzie przyjęli do swoich
do-mów, gdy będę usunięty z zarządu».
Przywołał więc do siebie każdego z dłużników swego pana i
zapytał pierwszego: «Ile jesteś winien mojemu panu?» Ten
odpowiedział: «Sto beczek oliwy». On mu rzekł: «Weź swoje zobowiązanie, siadaj prędko i napisz pięćdziesiąt». Następnie pytał drugiego: «A ty ile jesteś winien? » Ten odrzekł: «Sto korcy pszenicy». Mówi mu: «Weź swoje zobowiązanie i na-pisz: osiemdziesiąt». Pan pochwalił nieuczciwego rządcę, że roztropnie postąpił. Bo synowie tego świata
roztropniejsi są w stosunkach z ludźmi podobnymi sobie niż
synowie światła.
Ja także wam powiadam: Zyskujcie sobie przyjaciół niegodziwą mamoną, aby gdy wszystko się skończy, przyjęto
was do wiecznych przybytków.
Kto w drobnej rzeczy jest wierny, ten i w wielkiej będzie
wierny; a kto w drobnej rzeczy jest nieuczciwy, ten i w wielkiej nieuczciwy będzie. Jeśli więc w zarządzie niegodziwą
mamoną nie okazaliście się wierni, prawdziwe dobro kto
wam powie-rzy? Jeśli w zarządzie cudzym dobrem nie okazaliście się wierni, kto wam da wasze?
Żaden sługa nie może dwom panom służyć. Gdyż albo jednego będzie nienawidził, a drugiego miłował; albo z tamtym
będzie trzymał, a tym wzgardzi.
Nie możecie służyć Bogu i mamonie".

Pieniądze - test sumienia
Pieniądze są poważnym sprawdzianem naszych sumień. Potrafią wydobyć z serca ludzkiego takie prawdy, jakich byśmy się nawet nie domyślali.
To dzięki nim człowiek może
stać się hojny, pomagający,
troszczący się o czyjeś kłopoty,
ale też dzięki nim ktoś inny
staje się rozrzutny, skąpy, chciwy albo złodziejem.
Nie pieniądz jest brudny, tylko
ręce, które go trzymają, ale
gdyby nie pieniądz, może nigdy
ich brud nie wyszedłby na jaw. Jeśli wobec pieniędzy nie
potrafimy zachować wolności, to prawdziwe dobra któż nam
powierzy? W jaki sposób szafujemy pieniędzmi, w taki również duchowymi wartościami. Ciekawe, że Jezus zanim obdarował apostołów charyzmatami uwalniania od demonów,
uzdrawiania z chorób i prorokowania oraz głoszenia Dobrej
Nowiny, kazał im zostawić osobiste torby, podwójne szaty,
sandały, a nawet kije. Wolny od chciwości ma bogactwo
darów duchowych.

23 września - wspomnienie św. Ojca Pio
Proces beatyfikacyjny o. Pio - na przyśpieszenie którego
nalegał sam Jan Paweł II, który poznał stygmatyka podczas
wizyty w San Giovanni Rotondo w 1947 r., a jako biskup
krakowski w 1962 r. prosił o. Pio o uzdrowienie z choroby
nowotworowej Wandy Półtawskiej - rozpoczął się 20 marca 1983 r. Uroczystość beatyfikacyjna odbyła się 2 maja
1999 r. 16 czerwca 2002 r. o.
Pio został ogłoszony świętym.
16 czerwca w Rzymie Papież
Jan Paweł II kanonizował
błogosławionego ojca Pio.
Włosi czekali na ten dzień od
34 lat. Beatyfikacja w 1999 r.
zgromadziła milionowe rzesze na Placu św. Piotra, przed
Bazyliką św. Jana na Lateranie i w San Giovanni Rotondo. Podczas kanonizacji, aby
nie zdezorganizować ruchu
na rzymskich ulicach i dworcach, zdecydowano o otwarciu
dla pielgrzymów stacji kolejowej w Watykanie. Czciciele
ojca Pio przybyli z całego świata.

„Homoseksualizm oznacza relacje między mężczyznami
lub kobietami odczuwającymi pociąg płciowy, wyłączny
lub dominujący, do osób tej samej płci. Przybierał on

różnych kulturach. Jego psychiczna geneza pozostaje w
