Divine Mercy Sunday – April 3, 2016

Divine Mercy is the heart of the Gospel. The merciful love of God is the central theme of the Bible.
In the Old Testament, God solemnly declared to Moses that He is "a God merciful and gracious,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness" (Ex 34:6). As Pope John Paul II
wrote in his encyclical Rich in Mercy: "In the course of [Israel's] history, this people continuously
entrusted itself, both when stricken with misfortune and when it became aware of its sin, to the
God of mercies" (No 4).
Throughout the Church's Tradition, the merciful love of God is a constant refrain, echoing the
Scriptures. The great Church Fathers St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas taught that in God's
relationship with His creatures, mercy is His greatest attribute. Jesus said the same to St. Faustina
(see Diary, 180 and 301).
What is the meaning of Divine "Mercy"? God's very nature is love (see J 4:8): infinite, eternal,
self-giving love among the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. But "mercy" is the form that God's
love takes when it overflows His divine life and pours out upon His creatures. This Divine Mercy
is compassionate love — a love that seeks to meet the needs and relieve the miseries of others.
Ask for His Mercy. God wants us to approach Him in prayer constantly, repenting of our sins and
asking Him to pour His mercy out upon us and upon the whole world.
Be Merciful to Others. God wants us to receive His mercy and let it flow through us to others. He
wants us to extend love and forgiveness to others just as He does to us.
Completely Trust in Jesus. God wants us to know that the graces of His mercy are dependent upon
our trust. The more we trust in Jesus, the more we will receive.

be said April 14, 2016 at 7:30 AM.
20/20 Dinner will be held Saturday April 9, 2016, at 7:00 PM. Please call your captains and
confirm your participation. The dinner will be illuminated by a music and dance of the Kelly
Family’s children.

Niedziela Miłosierdzia Bożego - 3 Kwietnia 2016

Święto Miłosierdzia Bożego obchodzone jest w pierwszą niedzielę po Wielkanocy, czyli II Niedzielę
Wielkanocną, zwaną obecnie Niedzielą Miłosierdzia Bożego. Wpisał je do kalendarza liturgicznego
najpierw Franciszek kard. Macharski dla archidiecezji krakowskiej (1985), a potem niektórzy biskupi polscy
w swoich diecezjach. Na prośbę Episkopatu Polski Ojciec Święty Jan Paweł II w 1995 roku wprowadził to
święto dla wszystkich diecezji w Polsce. W dniu kanonizacji Siostry Faustyny 30 kwietnia 2000 roku Papież
ogłosił to święto dla całego Kościoła.
Inspiracją dla ustanowienia tego święta było pragnienie Jezusa, które przekazała Siostra Faustyna. Pan Jezus
powiedział do niej: Pragnę, ażeby pierwsza niedziela po Wielkanocy była świętem Miłosierdzia (Dz.
299). Pragnę, aby święto Miłosierdzia, było ucieczką i schronieniem dla wszystkich dusz, a szczególnie dla
biednych grzeszników. W dniu tym otwarte są wnętrzności miłosierdzia Mego, wylewam całe morze łask na
dusze, które się zbliżą do źródła miłosierdzia Mojego. Która dusza przystąpi do spowiedzi i Komunii
świętej, dostąpi zupełnego odpuszczenia win i kar. W dniu tym otwarte są wszystkie upusty Boże, przez które
płyną łaski (Dz. 699).
Obiad Klubu 20/20 będzie w sobotę 9 kwietnia o godz. 7:00 PM. Prosimy członków Klubu, aby
zadzwonili i potwierdzili (do 5 kwietnia) o swoim uczestnictwie w obiedzie. Obiad będzie
uświetniony przez instrumentalną muzykę oraz tańce - w wykonaniu dzieci Rodziny Kelly.
Koronka do Miłosierdzia Bożego będzie spiewana w naszym kościele w każdą niedzielę o godz.
10:00 AM, czyli przed Mszą Św. po polsku. Zapraszamy do wspólnej modlitwy.
14 kwietnia o 7:30 AM: Msza Św. o Boże błogosławieństwo dla tych, którzy sprzątali i pomagali
w dekaracjach przed świętami :
