LOCATION The neo-renaissance Chojnata Palace located halfway between Warsaw and Lodz in Wola Chojnata (county Biala Rawska) was designed by Italian architect Henry Marconi. The 19th century palace set in some 18 acres of parkland is surrounded by picturesque countryside and the largest orchards of Europe. According to a local legend the palace was built by a Polish officer of the Napoleon army for a beautiful French actress, who bored with a quiet country life, quite abruptly left her lover and his palace for the excitements of Paris. The officer never recovered from the loss of his beloved, and the palace slowly deteriorated into a ruin. Eventually, in 1988 it was bought and renovated by Mr. Krzysztof Malarecki, who took care to restore it to its former beauty. In 2005 the building was awarded a special price by Ministry of Culture for the best historical renovation. Today, Chojnata Palace is a luxury hotel and a well-known conference center. Welcome all!
