ougins, un charmant village de Moyen Âge près de
Cannes, c’est sans doutes l’un des plus beaux endroits sur le Côte d’Azur. Entouré de forêts, il est situé
sur une colline parmi des pins, des olivers sauvages et
des cyprès. On sous le charme de ses étoites ruelles,
coupées de fleurs en couleurs et d’extraordinaires maisons d’antiquité. La petite ville a su garder sa forme originale alors que les restes de son héritage médieval.

ougins, urokliwe średniowieczne miasteczko niedaleko Cannes, to bez wątpienia jedno z najpiękniejszych miejsc na Lazurowym Wybrzeżu. Otoczone
lasami, położone jest na wzgórzu pośród sosen, drzew
oliwnych i cyprysów. Urzeka czarującymi, wąskimi uliczkami poprzedzielanymi kolorowymi kwiatami i wspaniałymi starożytnymi domami. Miasteczko zachowało swój
oryginalny, wyjątkowy kształt, jak również pozostałości jego średniowiecznej spuścizny.

ougins avait toujours des liésons très fortes avec le
monde artistique et culturel. Des traces du passé subtilement conservées, des détails magnifiques, une harmonie des couleurs et aussi une lumière parfaite – tout cela
a fait de ce lieu un point de rencontres intéressantes de
l’élite artistique et des hommes connus, comme par exemple, Picasso qui y a passé les 15 dernières années de
sa vie, Cocteau, Fernand Léger, Paul Eluard, Man Ray,
Winston Churchill, Christian Dior, Catherine Deneuve, Edith
Piaf, Jacques Brel et beaucoup d’autres.

ougins zawsze miało silne związki ze światem artystycznym i kulturalnym. Subtelnie zachowane ślady przeszłości, zachwycające detale, harmonia kolorów
i doskonałe światło sprawiły, że miejscem tym zainteresowało się wielu artystów i znanych ludzi, jak choćby
Picasso, który spędził tu ostatnie 15 lat swojego życia,
Cocteau, Fernand Léger, Paul Eluard, Man Ray, Winston
Churchill, Christian Dior, Catherine Deneuve, Edith Piaf,
Jacques Brel i wielu innych.
Magnolia oasis

ougins, a picturesque Medieval town near Cannes,
is without doubt one of the most beautiful places to
visit on the Côte d’Azur. It is surrounded by forests and
located on a hill among pines, olives and cypress trees.
We can admire its charming narrow streets, separated by
flower beds and wonderful ancient houses. The town has
preserved its original and exceptional shape, together
with the remains of its Medieval heritage.

ougins has always had strong links with the art and
culture world. The traces of the past preserved with
reverence, enchanting details, harmony of colours and
excellent daylight caused that the place became of interest to many artists and celebrities, such as Picasso
who spent there the last fifteen years of his life, Cocteau,
Fernand Léger, Paul Eluard, Man Ray, Winston Churchill,
Christian Dior, Catherine Deneuve, Edith Piaf, Jacques
Brel to mention but a few.

rzedmieścia miasteczka skrywają niezwykłe tajemnice
– luksusowe posiadłości ukryte pośród wspaniałych
śródziemnomorskich parków i ogrodów. Jednym z sekretów Mougins, schowanym właśnie w tak niepowtarzalnym miejscu, na wzgórzu, wśród drzew i krzewów, jest
Villa Magnolia. Posiadłość o powierzchni 1.000 m 2, wykonana z najwyższej jakości materiałów, zachwyca swoim
wyglądem – nowoczesnym a jednocześnie klasycznym.

he outskirts conceal unusual mysteries: luxurious
properties hidden among magnificent Mediterranean
parks and gardens. One of the secrets of Mougins, hiding
away in one of such unique locations on the hill, among
trees and shrubs, is the Villa Magnolia. The property has
the floor area of 1,000 m2 and it is made of the higest
quality materials. Its appearance is really enchanting,
being both modern and classical at the same time.

a banlieue de la petite ville cache des secrets extraordinaires – des propriétés luxueuses cachées derrière
de somptueux parcs et jardins. L’un des mystères de
Mougins, caché justement dans un tel endroit unique,
sur une colline, entres les arbres et les arbustes est la Villa
Magnolia. La propriété qui mesure 1000 m2, est faite du
matériel de la plushaute qualité et séduit de son allure –
moderne, maisà la fois classique.

rzypoziomowy budynek z tarasem, ogrodem i basenem jest swego rodzaju oazą, w której można odpocząć i schronić się przed zgiełkiem
współczesnego świata. Fasada budynku obłożona jest białym piaskowcem
i egzotycznym drewnem okoume. W oknach, oprócz drewnianych żaluzji,
zainstalowane są zewnętrzne, rolety sterowane, dzięki czemu cały budynek
może zostać zamknięty niczym perła ukryta w muszli. Dyskretne szklane
balustrady spełniają funkcję bezpieczeństwa, a jednocześnie nie przysłaniają widoku na przepiękną panoramę, którą można podziwiać między innymi
z jacuzzi, umieszczonego na jednym z tarasów.

he three-storey building, with a patio, a garden and a swimming pool,
is a kind of oasis where one can rest and seclude oneself from the
mayhem of the world around. The façade cladding is made of white sandstone and exotic okoume wood. In addition to wooden blinds, the windows
contain external controlled roller blinds, allowing to close the building like
a pearl in a shell. Discrete glazed balustrades contribute to safety, and,
at the same time, reveal the breath-taking view to the panorama which can
be seen for example from the jacuzzi placed on one of the terraces.

e bâtiment à trois niveaux avec une terasse, un jardin et une piscine forme
une sorte d’oasis où l’on peut s’évader et se cacher du bruit du monde
entier contemporain. La façade du bâtiment est couverte de grès blanc et de
bois exotique Okume. Aux fenêtres, sans compter des persiennes de bois, on
a fait installer d’extérieures stores automatiques de sorte que tout le bâtiment,
s’il le faut, peut être renfermé comme une perle dans sa coquille. Les discrètes
rampes en verre sevent de protectiton et, en même temps, elles ne couvrent
pas la vue magnifique que l’on a à admirer, entre autre, de son spa qui se
trouve sur l’une des terasses.

a pierwszym piętrze willi znajduje się sypialnia właścicieli domu (master bedroom) z salonem łazienkowym Jeana-Marie Massauda i dwiema dużymi garderobami. Sypialnia ta to przestronne
wnętrze, w którym ściany pokryte są trawertynem i czarnym łupkiem; wraz z drewnianą podłogą i sufitem,
na którym rozpięte jest płótno żaglowe, tworzą śródziemnomorski klimat. Do tego meble – ikony designu:
łożko zaprojektowane przez Jeana-Marie Massauda, dwa fotele Lounge Chair Eamesów, stolik Isamu
Noguchiego i lampy Artichoke Louisa Poulsena nadają przestrzeni niepowtarzalnego charakteru.

he master bedroom is situated on the first floor, together with the Salon d’eau bathroom by Jean-Marie
Massaud and two cloakrooms. The bedroom has a roomy interior. Its walls are clad with travertine and
black shale. The floor is wooden and the ceiling covered with sail fabric. They all create Mediterranean
climate. The rooms are furnished with the icons of furniture designs: a bed by Jean-Marie Massaud, two
Eames Lounge Chair armchairs, an Isamu Noguchi coffee table and the Louis Poulsen Artichoke lamps
give unique character to the interior.

u premier étage de la villa se trouve la chambre à coucher des propriétés (Master bedroom) avec
un salon de bains de Jean-Marie Massaud et deux grandes garde-robes. La chambre est une pièce
pacieuse dont les murs sont couverts de travertin et d’ardoise noire; son plancher de bois et également
son plafond au-dessous duquel il y a une toile de bateau, créent une ambiance de méditerrannée.
En plus, on y voit des meubles – des vraies icônes du design: le lit projeté par Jean-Marie Massaud, deux
fauteuils de Lounge Chair Eams, la petite table de Isamu Noguchi et les lampes faites par Louis Poulsen
Arti choke – tous ces objets donnent à l’espace un caractère unique.

salonie łazienkowym znajdującym się przy sypialni można wyodrębnić dwie strefy: kąpielową, w której zaprojektowano dwie deszczownie Philippe’a Starcka i strefę wellness z wanną Jeana-Marie Massauda,
stojącą na dużym, drewnianym podeście. Nastrój relaksu i odprężenia
dodatkowo wzmacniają w tym wnętrzu kominek z czarnego kamienia,
drewniana podłoga, a także meble Jeana-Marie Massauda i sprzęt firmy
Bang & Olufsen.
I
n the Salon d’eau bathroom, located next to the bedroom, we can identify two sections: the bathing area, with two Philippe Starck rain showers, and the wellness area, with a Jean-Marie Massaud bathtub standing
on a large wooden platform. The atmosphere of relaxation is additionally
strengthened by a black stone fireplace, wooden floor, the Jean-Marie
Massaud furniture and the Bang & Olufsen equipment.
Le salon de bains placé juste à côté de la chambre, peut être divisé en
deux parties différantes: celle où l’on prend są douche pour laquelle on
a conçu deux douches-raindances de Philippe Stack et l’autre-celle de
Welles avec une baignoire de Jean-Marie Massaud reposant sur une
grande banquette en bois. L’atmosphère de la détante et du relax est
aussi bien intensifée dans cet intérieur grâce à une cheminée de pierre
noire qu’au plancher de bois, aux meubles de Jean-Marie Massaud et aux
équipements de la marque Bang&Olufsen.

a poziomie parteru zaprojektowano przestronny salon, w którym można spędzać czas odpoczywając na białych, skórzanych sofach Piero Lissoniego, przy szklanych stolikach Mex, także tego samego designera
lub kontemplować ogień płonący w kominku, siedząc w czarnym fotelu Egg Jacobsena. Płótno jachtowe na suficie,
dywany Minotti na drewnianej podłodze i duże szklane tafle okien, meble w kolorach bieli lub czerni – wszystko
to nadaje temu wnętrzu przytulnego, a jednocześnie pogodnego charakteru.
Z
salonu można przejść do wewnętrznego atrium z ogrodem japońskim. W tym niezwykłym miejscu wyciszenia
umieszczono posąg Buddy z Kamakury; duża kamienna figura stoi pośród bambusów i japońskich latarni
i wręcz zaprasza do medytacji i kontemplacji.
A
large living room was designed on the ground floor. One can spend time there resting on white leather sofas
by Piero Lissoni at Mex glass coffee tables by the same designer, or contemplate fire in the fireplace, while sitting
in a the black Jacobsen Egg armchair. The sail fabric on the ceiling, the Minotti carpets on the wooden floor, large
window glazing, white or black furniture: all that give the interior a cosy and serene nature.
W
e can walk from the living room out to the internal atrium, with a Japanese garden. That unusual place of calm
contains a statue of the Great Buddha from Kamakura: a large stone figure is standing among bamboo trees and
Japanese lamps and lanterns, inviting one to meditate and contemplate.

u niveau du rez-de-chaussée, on a conçu une salle de séjour spacieuse où l’on peut passer son temps libre et se
reposer sur un sofa de cuir blanc de Piero Lissoni, à tables de verres Mex du même designer ou bien contempler
flamber le feu dans la cheminée restant assis dans un fauteuil d’Egg Jacobsen. La toile marine sous le plafond,
des tapis Mittoni sur le plancher en bois et des fenêtres à grandes vitres, des meubles blancs ou noirs - tous ces
détails font de cet endroit un intérieur agéable et joyeux.
I
l est possible de passer directement du salon à un atrium intérieur avec un jardin japonais. Dans cet endroit
extraordinaire de silence, on a placé une statue du Buddha de Kamakura; ce grand personnage en pierre au
milieu de bambous et de lanternes japonaises fait sembant de nous inviter vraiment à méditer et à contempler.

a poziomie parteru znajduje się druga sypialnia z dużym łóżkiem z czarnej skóry, zaprojektowanym przez Jeana-Marie
Massauda, obok którego dla kontrastu usytuowano biały fotel Barcelona. Na ścianach z czarnego kamienia i jasnego trawertynu wiszą japońskie grafiki Hiroschige’go, natomiast sufit pokryty jest białym drewnem. Zewnętrzne tafle okien, wewnątrz
zostały obłożone ściankami japońskimi. Przestrzeń ta jest prosta i surowa, nawiązuje do stylu japońskiego. Z sypialni można
przejść do salonu łazienkowego Philippe’a Starcka (w pełni wyposażonego w sprzęt i armaturę Axor Starck).
O
n the ground floor there is another bedroom with a large black leather bed designed by Jean-Marie Massaud, next
to which a white Barcelona armchair is placed for a contrast. The walls finished with black stone and bright travertine are
decorated with Japanese prints by Hiroschige, and the ceilings are covered with white wood. External window panes are clad
with Japanese walls. The space is simple and rough, with references to the Japanese style. We can walk from the bedroom
to the Philippe Starck bathroom (fully equipped with Axor Starck fixtures and fittings).

u rez-de-chaussée, il y a une autre chambre à coucher avec un grand lit de cuir noir projeté par Jean-Marie Massaud
près duquel, pour souligner le contraste, on a situé le fauteuil blanc Barcelona. Sur les murs de pierre noir et de travertin
clair sont accrochés quelques dessins graphiques japonais de Hiroschige, tandis que le plafond est couvert de bois blanc.
Les surfaces de fenêtres à l’extérieur ont été emballées de parois japonaises de l’intérieur. Cet espace est simple et sobre, elle
fait penser au style japonais. Directemenet de la chambre, on peut passer ensuite à la salle de bains de Philippe Starck (munie
entièrement d’équipements et de matériel Axor Starck).

wewnętrznej jadalni znaczące miejsce zajmuje duży, prosty
czarny stół, zaprojektowany przez Jeana Prouve, z krzesłami
Mackintosh z Cassiny. Biały, drewniany japoński sufit i japońskie
ścianki potęgują nastrój harmonii i swego rodzaju surowości.
Część jadalna oddzielona jest od części kuchennej przesuwną
ścianą ze szkła matowego, przyozdobioną japońskimi grafikami.
Z kolei część kuchenna została wyposażona w kuchnię firmy
Bulthaup, B3 z orzecha amerykańskiego i sprzęt firmy Gagenau.
Z zewnętrznej jadalni z meblami Philippe’a Starcka można podziwiać cudowną panoramę Cannes, zielone wzgórza i błękit nieba.
I
n the internal dining room, a lot of space is given to a large and
simple table designed by Jean Prouve, with Mackintosh chairs
from Cassina. The white wooden Japanese ceiling and Japanese walls strengthen the impression of harmony and austerity.
The dining section is separated from the kitchen section by a movable matt glass wall decorated with Japanese graphic art. The
kitchen annex itself is furnished with Bulthaup B3 American
walnut furniture and Gagenau fittings. We can see the wonderful
panorama of Cannes, with its green hills and blue sky, straight from
the external dining room, furnished with Philippe Starck furniture.

ans la salle à manger de l’intérieur, une place importante est
occupée par une grande table simple de Jean Prouve et des
chaises Mackintosh de Cassine. Le plafond blanc, de bois et
japonais, aussi bien les parois japonaises multiplient l’ambience
d’harmonie et d’une certaine sévérité. La partie où l’on mange est
séparée de la cuisine par une porte coulissante de verre mat et en
plus, elle est décorée de dessins graphiques japonais. Par suite,
la partie de la cuisine est munie de meubles de cuisine de marque
Bulthaup, B3 de la noix amércaine et du matériel Gagenau. De
la salle à manger externe (où se trovent les meubles de Philippe
Starck), on a l’occasion d’admirer un merveilleux panorama de
Cannes, des collines vertes et le bleu du ciel.

a najniższym poziomie willi, w przyziemiu, zaprojektowano strefę relaksu: Fitness i Spa, w którym na szczególną uwagę zasługuje sauna Inipi firmy Duravit.
Oprócz tego na tym piętrze znajduje się pomieszczenie na wino, winiarnia i sala
kinowa wyposażona w sprzęt duńskiej firmy Bang & Olufsen. W sali kinowej można
spędzić czas w rozmaity sposób – relaksując się na białych sofach Lissoniego czy
fotelach Egg, grać w bilard, oglądać programy na olbrzymim rzutniku 3D firmy
Bang & Olufsen, słuchać muzyki płynącej z kolumn Beo Lab5, lub miło spędzić
czas przy barze wykonanym z czarnego marmuru Nero Marquina. Na szczególną
uwagę w tym pomieszczeniu zasługuje kominek z czarnego kamienia, na którym
ustawiono 10 tybetańskich posążków prezentujących różne aspekty Buddy. Jest
tam między innymi: Budda Medycyny, Zielona Tara, Budda Kochające Oczy.
O
n the lowest storey of the Villa Magnolia, the relaxation area was designed in
the basement: fitness and spa, where we should especially mention the Duravit
Inipi sauna. There is also a wine storage and cellar on the same storey, as well as
a cinema room, with the Danish Bang & Olufsen equipment. One can have a good
time here in many ways: by relaxing on white Lissoni sofas or Egg armchairs, playing snooker, watching 3D movies, listening to music from Beo Lab5 loudspeakers,
or sitting at the bar made of black Nero Marquina marble. A black-stone fireplace is
noticeable, with ten Tibetan figures presenting various Buddha aspects, e.g. Medicine Buddha, Green Tara, or Buddha – Loving Eyes.

u niveau plus bas de la villa ,dans le sous-sol se trouve la zone du relax: le
fitness et le spa où l’on attire le plus attetion sur le sauna Inipi de la marque
Duravit. A part de cela, à cet étage, il se trouvent une cave à vin et une salle de
cinéma, équipée de matériel spécialisé de la marque danoise Bang&Olufsen. On
peut passer différemment son temps dans la salle de projection – en se reposant
allongé sur les sofas blancs de Lissoni, ou bien assis dans les fauteuils d’Egg,
jouer au billard, regarder des émissions d’un projecteur géant 3D Bang&Olufsen,
écouter de la musique venir des haut-parleurs Beo Lab5 ou enfin, d’une manière
agréable, rester assis au comptoir du bar fait marbre noir par Nero Marquin. La plus
grande attention dans cette pièce attire la cheminée de pierre noire sur laquelle on
a mis 10 petites statues représentant le Buddha sous ses différents aspects. Il y a,
entre autre: le Buddha de Médecine, la Tara verte et le Buddha – les Yeux d’amour.

części Spa ściany korytarza pokryte są bambusem, natomiast podłoga przypomina
trap łodzi: środek wykonany jest z drewna, a po bokach wysypane są surowe kamienie.
Podobne nawiązanie do trapu łodzi można zaobserwować na suficie.

n the Spa section, the corridors are clad with bamboo wood and the floor reminds of a boat
gangway: the middle section is made of wood and the sides are decorated with raw stones.
A similar reference to a boat gangway can be found on the ceiling.

ans la partie spa les murs sont couverts de bambous, tandis que le plancher ressemble
à une échelle de coupée: le centre est fait du bois, des côtés-on a mis des pierres brutes.
Il est aussi possible de faire la même comparaison si on observe le plafond.

owierzchnię tego poziomu zamykają trzy pokoje gościnne z łazienkami różnych projektantów. Są to łazienki braci Bouroullec,
Antonia Citteria i Philippe’a Starcka. W łazience braci Bouroullec na
szklanych taflach zastosowano nadruki Torda Boontjego, natomiast
łazienka Antonia Citteria z jego wanną cała wykonana jest z czarnego marmuru Nero Marquina.

he area of that storey is closed by three spare rooms, with bathrooms by various designers: the Bouroullec Brothers, Antonio
Citterio and Philippe Starck. The Bouroullec Brothers bathroom contains glass panes with Tord Boontje prints, while the one by Antonio
Citterio with the designer’s bathtub, is made of black marble, Nero
Marquina.

’espace de ce niveau est renfermé par les chambres d’hôtes avec
leurs propres salles de bains conçues par différents créateurs: les
frères Bouroullec, Antonio Citterio et Philippe Starck. Dans la salle
de bains de ces prémiers sur les surfaces de verre, on a utilisé des
imprimées de Tord Boontje, par contre, la salle de bains d’Antonio
Citterio avec są baignoire a été entièrement faite du marbre noir Nero
Marquina.

się przed słońcem i odpocząć.

here is a swimming pool in the garden, surrounded with a platform made of teak
wood on which Dedon garden furniture by Jean-Marie Massaud is placed. The Japanese pavilion situated nearby, made of white timber, provides a hideout from sunshine
and a resting place.

u jardin, il y a une piscine entourée d’un palier en teck sur lequel sont placés des
meubles de jardin de la marque Dedon Jean-Marie Massaud. On peut pourtant bien
se reposer, se détendre et aussi s’abriter du soleil dans un pavillon japonais placé un
peu plus loin.
