Day-Trip One: "Kamień Pomorski and Międzyzdroje"

Day Trip
After breakfast, we would be delighted to invite
you to a day trip to the spa resorts of the Polish
Baltic. En route, we will visit an old
Pomeranian town of Kamień Pomorski. The
central attraction of this place is a RomanesqueGothic cathedral of the second half of the 12th
century, whose collections feature numerous
unique works of sacral art, including a beautiful
Romanesque baptistery, a Gothic tabernacle
and crucifixes, a baroque altarpiece and an
organ built in
1669. After an
inspiring tour of the cathedral and its pleasure gardens, we
will enjoy a rare opportunity of a spiritual feast of a thirtyminute, moving organ concert. After a leisurely walk through
the center of the town, we will continue our journey to the
seaside and to the Island of Wolin. There, we will have and
opportunity of paying a visit to one of the most popular
Polish spa resorts of Międzyzdroje, famous for its beautiful
golden beach and a several hundred meter long promenade on a seaward jetty, as well as for
its unique 19th century spa architecture. Towards the end of the organized part of the trip we
will have a tradional Polish dinner, following which we will enjoy free time: a time of
relaxation on the gorgeous beach, or in one of many cozy cafes in the seaside boulevard. We
will return to Szczecin ca. 18:00
