Initial Startup: When the Nano Dimmer Air is first powered up it will automatically start in Learn Mode. Restarting Learn Mode: If you ever need to put a Loxone Nano Dimmer Air back into learn mode this can be done very easily. Simply press and hold the learn button for 5 seconds within 10 seconds of powering the device up. This will force the Dimmer Air back into Learn Mode The learn button is located on the front bottom left of the unit (see below). Once the unit is in the learn mode, the status LEDs will alternately blink Red - Green Yellow. Now we have to start the air search. To do this, select the Air Base Extension in the Periphery Tree, and then click the button "Air Device Search". Aptom System Sp. z o.o. Now select the device you wish to add to your configuration. Enter the item name, select a room from the drop-down and finally click "Create Device". The Nano Dimmer Air will now be listed in the Periphery Tree. As default only the output will be listed here. Additional diagnostic inputs like Online Status and CPU Temperature can be added by checking the "Display Diagnostic Inputs" in the Properties. The "Dimming Type" is by default set to "Off". When comissioning the correct dimming type must be selected for the load being connected. REPLACING THE NANO DIMMER AIR If you need to replace a device in Loxone Config, this can easily be done through the Air Monitor. • • Install and power up the Nano Dimmer Air and place the device in learn mode. Once this is done, save the configuration to the Miniserver. LOXONE TOUCH FOR NANO For the Nano Dimmer Air there is the Loxone Loxone Touch and Touch Pure for Nano. These provide Loxone touch capability to the Nano Dimmer by piggybacking off the Air Technology within the device. If you are using the Loxone Touch for Nano, you need to select this in the properties of the Nano Dimmer Air. The touch points may be used in the Loxone Config as individual digital inputs, these can be added to the periphery via the properties of the touch. Aptom System Sp. z o.o. This value can be set separately in the properties for each digital input of the device. CABLING Please note that the Nanon Dimmer Air only has a single output channel, but two terminals for connections. The Nano Dimmer Air is not suitable for low voltage or DC applications, but only 230V AC. The terminals are rated for currents of up to 10A for looping cables in and out, but the dimmer channel is NOT. To avoid damage observe the maximum allowed load stated in the specifications at the top of this page.
