Gmina Lubrza le˝y w obr´bie Pojezierza Lubuskiego - jej pó∏nocna

kraniec zaliczany jest do Równiny Torzymskiej. Ukszta∏towanie powierzchni jest zró˝nicowane, wi´kszoÊç obszaru gminy le˝y na wysokoÊci
90 - 120 m. n.p.m.

Lokalne warunki pogodowe sà korzystne, klimat jest ∏agodny, szczególnie
w okresie zimowym. Ârednia temperatura lipca wynosi 180 C, natomiast
stycznia -1,20 C. Pokrywa Ênie˝na zalega 40 - 60 dni, okres wegetacyjny
trwa 220 - 230 dni.
Najwi´kszym walorem gminy sà lasy, które zajmujà 46,3 % jej powierzchni. Przewa˝nie sà to bory sosnowe, rzadziej chrobotkowe, a tak˝e siedliska
gràdowe i dàbrowy Êwietlistej. Zachowa∏o si´ kilka torfowisk wysokich.
Wyst´pujà tu tak˝e stanowiska roÊlin rzadkich i chronionych, np. modrzewica zwyczajna, osoka aloesowata, bagnica torfowa, k∏oç wiechowata
i inne.

Na terenie gminy Lubrza znajduje si´ 11 jezior o I i II klasie czystoÊci. Ich
powierzchnia wynosi 670 ha. Najwi´ksze jeziora to: Nies∏ysz (pow. 563 ha,
max. g∏´bokoÊç 34,70 m), Goszcza (pow. 61,54 ha, max. g∏. 20 m), Lubie
(pow. 34,80 ha, max. g∏. 35 m) oraz Pieƒ (pow. 19 ha, max. g∏. 7,1 m).
W jeziorze Nies∏ysz stwierdzono wyst´powanie rzadkiego rodzaju pijawki
od˝ywiajàcej si´ m. in. krwià ˝ó∏wia b∏otnego, co sugeruje jego obecnoÊç
w tym akwenie. Oprócz jezior znajdujà si´ tu liczne cieki i kana∏y wodne.
System rzek i kana∏ów sprzyja rozwojowi turystyki wodnej.
Na terenie gminy istniejà trzy rezerwaty przyrody: dwa faunistyczne - „Nietoperek I” i „Nietoperek II” oraz torfowiskowy - „Pniewski ¸ug”. Rezerwaty
„Nietoperek I” i „Nietoperek II” mieszczà si´ w podziemiach Lubrzaƒskiego
Szlaku Fortyfikacji. Jest to miejsce zimowania oko∏o 30 tysi´cy nietoperzy,
reprezentujàcych 12 gatunków. Rezerwat „Pniewski ¸ug” obejmuje otoczone ze wszystkich stron lasem dobrze zachowane torfowisko wysokie
o powierzchni oko∏o 7 ha.

Die Gemeinde Lubrza liegt im Gebiet der Lebuser Seenplatte - die nördlichen und mittleren Teile der Gemeinde gehören zum Lagower Seengebiet,
während die südliche Grenze schon zur Torzymer Ebene gezählt wird. Die
Landschaft ist sehr vielgestaltig, der größte Teil des Gebietes liegt 90 120 m über dem Meeresspiegel.
Das hiesige Klima ist sehr angenehm und mild, besonders im Winter. Die
mittlere Temperatur beträgt im Juli 180 C, im Januar -1,20 C. Schnee liegt an
40 - 60 Tagen und die Vegetationsperiode dauert 220 - 230 Tage.

Die Natur in Lubrza
Das größte Plus der Gemeinde sind die Laubwälder, die 46,3 % ihres Gebietes bedecken. Vor allem sind dies Kiefernwälder, seltener sind Eichenund Buchenwälder. Außerdem haben sich einige Hochmoore erhalten, in
denen seltene und geschützte Pflanzen vorkommen, wie z. B. die gemeine
Lärche, die Wasseraloe, die Sumpfblasenbinse, die Binsenschneide und
andere.
Lubrza lies in the Lubuskie lakeland, with its northern and central part in
the ¸agow lake district, and bordering the Torzym plain to the south. The
shape of the land varies, with the majority of the area at 90 - 120 m above
sea level.
Local climatic conditions are favourable and the climate is gentle, particularly in the winter. The average temperature in July is 180 C and in January,
-1,20 C. Snow covers the are for 40 - 60 days and the vegetative period lasts
220 - 230 days.
The chief natural characteristic of the area is its forests, which occupy
46.3 % of its surface area, mostly pine, with some scratch pine, as well
as some oak and other varieties . Many rare species of plant have been
protected and preserved here.
Lubrza also contains eleven lakes which have been graded in the first or
second class for cleanliness. Their surface covers 670 ha in total. The
largest of these lakes are Nies∏ysz (surface area 563 ha, maximum depth
34.70 m), Goszcza (surface area 61.54 ha, maximum depth 20 m), Lubie
(surface area 34.80 ha, maximum depth 35 m), Pieƒ (surface area 19 ha,
maximum depth 7.1 m). In Lake Nies∏ysz, the existence of a rare species
of leech has been confirmed, which feeds on the blood of the mud turtle,
suggesting the presence of this turtle species in the lake. Apart from lakes,
numerous waterways and channels can be found here. The system of rivers and channels favours the development of water tourism.
There are three nature reserves in this area: two devoted to wildlife, “Nietoperek I” and “Nietoperek II” as well as the peat marshland - „Pniewski
¸ug”. The “Nietoperek” reserves are in the underground fortifications of
Lubrza, which are the winter home for approximately thirty thousand bats,
representing twelve different species. “Pniewski ¸ug” reserve, surrounded
by forest from all sides, contains a well preserved peat bog of a surface
area of approximately 7 ha.
Auf dem Gebiet der Gemeinde Lubrza befinden sich elf Seen, deren Wasser
in die Sauberkeitsklassen I und II eingeordnet wurden. Ihre Gesamtfläche
beträgt 670 ha. Die größten Seen sind der Nies∏ysz (Fläche: 563 ha, max.
Tiefe: 34,70 m), der Goszcza (Fläche: 61,54, max. Tiefe: 20 m), der Lubie
(Fläche: 34,80 ha, max. Tiefe: 35 m), der Pieƒ (Fläche: 19 ha, max. Tiefe:
7,1 m). Im Nies∏ysz-See kommt eine seltene Art des Blutegels vor, die sich
u. a. vom Blut der Sumpfschildkröte ernährt, was wiederum auf deren
Anwesenheit in diesem See schließen lässt. Neben den Seen gibt es eine
große Zahl von Flüsschen und Kanälen. Ihr verzweigtes System ist eine
Attraktion für Touristen und Wassersportler.
Zur Gemeinde gehören außerdem drei Naturschutzgebiete: die beiden
Tierreservate “Nietoperek I” und “Nietoperek II” sowie das Moor “Pniewski
¸ug”. Die Reservate “Nietoperek I” und “Nietoperek II” befinden sich in den
unterirdischen Teilen der Liebenauer Festungsroute. Hier überwintern ca.
30.000 Fledermäuse aus 12 Arten. Das Naturschutzgebiet “Pniewski ¸ug”
ist ein gut erhaltenes, 7 ha großes Hochmoor mitten im Wald.

Nenuphar Night
Od wielu lat w trzecià sobot´ lipca do miejscowoÊci Lubrza przybywajà
turyÊci, widzowie i goÊcie zaproszeni z ca∏ej Polski oraz partnerskiej
niemieckiej gminy Burg, aby obejrzeç niepowtarzalny teatr na wodzie
- kulminacyjny punkt imprezy. Bajkowe widowisko przedstawia histori´
mi∏oÊci, która nawiàzuje do legendy o nadaniu nazw jeziorom „Goszcza”,
„Lubie”, „Oczko Ma∏e” oraz pochodzeniu nazwy miejscowoÊci Lubrza, która wywodzi si´ od imienia pi´knej dziewczyny - zakl´tej w kwiat nenufaru
- Lubrzany. Napisana przez miejscowego (niestety nie˝yjàcego ju˝ dziÊ)
artyst´ malarza legenda, poza walorami widowiskowymi, niesie równie˝
treÊci zwiàzane z ochronà roÊlinnoÊci wodnej, a g∏ównie grzybienia
bia∏ego, zwanego „nenufarem”.
Spektakl na wodzie jeziora „Goszcza”, z dobrym nag∏oÊnieniem dialogów,
wystawiany jest przez 50-osobowà grup´ m∏odzie˝y z terenu gminy
i okolicznych miejscowoÊci. Bogata scenografia Êredniowiecznej wioski,
podÊwietlone nenufary, ucharakteryzowana m∏odzie˝ w regionalnych
strojach powodujà, i˝ widowisko na d∏ugo zapada w pami´ç widzów.
W roku nast´pnym wracajà oni, by wziàç udzia∏ w kolejnej edycji imprezy
pn. „Noc Nenufarów”. G∏ównemu widowisku towarzyszy szereg atrakcji
- konkursy dla dzieci i m∏odzie˝y, wyst´py zespo∏ów wokalno-tanecznych,
pokaz mody, taƒca, szczudlarzy, skoki eurobungee, wybór „Miss Nocy
Nenufarów” itp.
Projekt pod nazwà „Noc Nenufarów” rokrocznie finansowany jest ze
Êrodków pomocowych Unii Europejskiej w ramach projektów Euroregionu
„Sprewa-Nysa-Bóbr”. Impreza ta dzi´ki swojej specyfice i odr´bnoÊci jest
dziÊ atrakcjà turystycznà gminy, powiatu i regionu. Celem „Nocy Nenufarów” jest równie˝ integracja spo∏eczno-kulturalna Êrodowiska lokalnego
- mieszkaƒców gmin Lubrza i Burg (Niemcy).
Every year, on the third Saturday of July, visitors from all over Poland, as
well as from Lubrza’s German twin town, Burg, arrive in Lubrza to see the
unique floating theatre, which is the culmination of a night of entertainment. This fabulous spectacle tells a love story, which contains legends
explaining how the region’s lakes were named, such as Goszcza, Lubie,
Oczko Ma∏e. It also explains the name of the district, Lubrza, which comes
from the name of a beautiful girl, Lubrzana, who was magically changed
into a water lily. This legend, written by a local painter who is sadly no
longer alive, also has a message concerning the protection of water plants,
especially the species of lily known as nenuphar.
The play on the water of Lake Goszcza, with high-quality sound production,
is performed by teenagers from the district and from small, local towns,
with a group of fifty such youths taking part. The rich, medieval village
scenography, along with the illuminated water lilies and the young people in
regional costume, ensures a spectacle that will remain long in the memory
and encourage all involved to participate in next year’s “Nenuphar Night”.
The main show is completed by a host of other attractions, including
competitions for children and teenagers, song and dance performances,
fashion and dance shows, stilt performances, bungee jumping and “Miss
Nenuphar” competitions.
“Nenuphar Night” is sponsored every year by European Union funds, within
the framework of the “Sprewa-Nysa-Bóbr” Euroregion project. The event,
with its unique character, is today a tourist attraction for the district, county and region. The aim of “Nenuphar Night” is the integration of the social
and cultural habitats of Lubrza and Burg, in Germany.
Since 2003, the Local Tourist Organization has participated in the organization of the event.
Od roku 2003 w organizacji imprezy uczestniczy Lokalna Organizacja
Turystyczna.
Seit vielen Jahren kommen am dritten Samstag des Monats Juli Touristen,
Zuschauer, geladene Gäste aus ganz Polen und der Partnergemeinde Burg
nach Lubrza, um einem einmaligen Theater auf dem Wasser zu zuschauen
- dem Höhepunkt des Festes. Das Märchenhafte Schauspiel zeigt eine interessante Geschichte von der Liebe, die zurück geht auf die Legende der
Entstehung der Namen der einzelnen Seen wie: “Goszcza”, “Lubie”, “Oczko
Ma∏e” usw. und auch auf die Entstehung des Namens der Ortschaft Lubrza
(Liebenau), der sich vom Namen eines schönen Mädchens herleiten soll,
das in eine Blume verwandelt wurde, die Liebenauer Seerose.

Die Legende hat ein Maler aus dem Ort aufgeschrieben, der heute leider
nicht mehr lebt. Interessant daran ist, dass sie neben ihren dramatischen
Vorzügen auch Gedanken des Schutzes der Wasserpflanzenwelt enthält,
besonders der Seerose mit dem Namen “Nenuphare”.
Das Schauspiel auf dem Wasser des “Goszcza-Sees” wird von 50 Jugendlichen aus der Gemeinde und ihrer Umgebung aufgeführt. Das opulente
Bühnenbild eines mittelalterlichen Dorfes, beleuchtete Seerosen und die
jungendlichen Darsteller in ihren Regionaltrachten prägen sich für lange
Zeit in die Erinnerung ein, so dass es einen auch im nächsten Jahr wieder
zur Nacht der Seerosen zieht. Neben der großen Aufführung werden dem
Publikum zahlreiche andere Attraktionen geboten: z. B. Wettbewerbe für
Kinder und Jugendliche, Auftritte von Tanzensembles und Chören, Modenschauen, Tanzveranstaltungen, Stelzenläufer, Bungeejumping, die Wahl
der “Miss Seerose“ und vieles mehr.
Die “Nacht der Seerosen“ wird jedes Jahr aus Fördermitteln der Europäischen Union finanziert und ist ein Projekt der Euroregion “Spree-NeißeBober“. Die Veranstaltung mit ihrer Eigentümlichkeit und ihren Besonderheiten ist eine Attraktion der Gemeinde, des Kreises und der Region. Ihr Ziel
besteht auch in der gesellschaftlich-kulturellen Integration der örtlichen
Bevölkerung, der Einwohner von Lubrza und Burg (Deutschland).
Seit dem Jahr 2003 beteiligt sich auch die Regionale Tourismusorganisation an der Gestaltung des Festes.

Lubrzaƒski Szlak Fortyfikacji to kolejna atrakcja gminy Lubrza. Obejmuje
on fragment poniemieckiego Ufortyfikowanego Frontu ¸uku Odry i Warty
(Oder-Warthe-Bogen-Festungsfront - OWB) - najpot´˝niejszych fortyfikacji w Europie, porównywalnych jedynie ze s∏awnà „Linià Maginota” we
Francji. Oprócz licznych obiektów bojowych w sk∏ad systemu wchodzi∏y
unikatowe obiekty in˝ynieryjne i hydrotechniczne - mosty rolkowe, Êluzy,
zapory, kana∏y, niespotykane nigdzie indziej.
The Lubrza Fortification Trail is another attraction of the Lubrza region.
It contains part of the German Odra-Warta Fortified Front (Oder-WartheBogen-Festungsfront - OWB), the largest system of fortification in Europe,
comparable to the famous “Maginot Line” of France. Apart from numerous
military buildings, it also contains unique structures of special interest
for their engineering and hydraulics, such as rolling bridges, water gates,
dams and waterways, which can be found nowhere else.
Centralnym punktem Lubrzaƒskiego Szlaku Fortyfikacji jest Lubrza,
w której mo˝na zobaczyç unikatowà fortecznà Êluz´ na kanale strategicznym nr 710. Z Lubrzy biorà poczàtek dwa odga∏´zienia Szlaku. Odcinek
pó∏nocny, biegnàcy do Boryszyna, umo˝liwia zwiedzenie obiektów bojowych Grupy Warownej „Körner”, tamy nad jeziorem Paklicko Wielkie oraz
bunkrów w Staropolu i Boryszynie. Umo˝liwia on równie˝ dotarcie do Podziemnej Trasy Turystycznej „P´tla Boryszyƒska” ko∏o Boryszyna. Wi´ksza
cz´Êç tego odcinka Szlaku prowadzi przez malownicze lasy na pó∏noc
od Lubrzy. Odcinek po∏udniowy prowadzi do Mostek. Po drodze mo˝na
obejrzeç unikatowy most rolkowy i zachowanà zapor´ przeciwpancernà w
Nowej Wiosce, strategiczny Kana∏ Niesulicki, a w samych Mostkach bunkry
tzw. Grupy Warownej „Lietzmann”.
The central point of the trail is Lubrza, where the fortified waterway of
Canal 710 can be seen. In Lubrza, the trail diverges into two branches.
The northern section, running to Boryszyn, provides the chance to see
the structures of the “Korner” armoured division: the dam at Lake Palicko
Wielkie and the bunkers at Staropole and Boryszyn. It also connects with
the “Boryszyn Loop” underground track near Boryszyn. The larger part of
this section leads through the picturesque forests to the north of Lubrza.
Znaczna cz´Êç Szlaku prowadzi przez tereny otwarte, wÊród malowniczych pól i ∏àk. Szlak jest przewidziany przede wszystkim dla turystów
pieszych oraz rowerowych i przebiega g∏ównie drogami leÊnymi i polnymi,
przewa˝nie niedost´pnymi dla samochodów. Wi´kszoÊç obiektów jest

Die Liebenauer Festungsroute ist die große Attraktion der Gemeinde
Lubrza (Liebenau). Sie umfasst einen Teil der ehemaligen deutschen Festungslinie der “Festungsfront Oder-Warthe-Bogen” (Ostwall). Oft wird sie
mit der berühmten “Maginot-Linie” in Frankreich verglichen. Außer den sg.
Panzerwerken gehören hierzu auch einzigartige ingenieurtechnische Bauwerke und hydrotechnische (wasserbautechnische) Anlagen und Bauwerke wie z. B. Schleusen, Stauwerke, strategische Kanäle sowie bewegliche
Brücken, welche sonst nirgendwo vorzufinden sind.

Der zentrale Punkt der Liebenauer Festungsroute ist die Ortschaft Lubrza
(Liebenau); dort kann man das einmalige Schleusenwerk Nr. 709 am
strategischen Kanal Nr. 710 besichtigen. In Liebenau beginnen zwei Besichtigungsrouten. Auf dem nördliche Weg gelangt man nach Boryszyn
(Burschen). Er führt über die Panzerwerke der Werkgruppe “Körner”, das
Stauwerk Nr. 712 am Großen Pocklitzsee (jezioro Paklicko Wielkie) und zu
den Bunkerbauwerken in Staropole (Starpel) und Boryszyn (Burschen).
Außerdem erreicht man auf diesem Weg die unterirdischen Strecken der

armoured division. A large part of the track leads through open terrain in
attractive fields and meadows. The trail is provided chiefly for walkers and
cyclists, often taking forest and field tracks which are unsuitable for cars.
Most of the sights are, however, still accessible for motorists.
The system of strategic waterways deserves special attention. Its length
in the Lubrza district is 20km and it is an extremely interesting route for
kayaking. Thanks to its connection to the river Paklica, it provides access
to GoÊcikowo, where the Paradise Cistercian Monastery, the main tourist
attraction of that region, is located.
“Burschener Schleife” nahe der Ortschaft Boryszyn (Burschen). Der größte
Teil dieses Weges verläuft durch malerische Wälder im Norden Liebenaus.
Der südliche Weg führt nach Mostki (Möstchen). Auf diesem Weg kann
man in der Ortschaft Nowa Wioska (Neudörfel) die einzigartige Rollbrücke
Nr. K705 mit ihrer Stahlschrankensperre besichtigen sowie den strategischen Kanal Nr. 706, der später in Richtung Großer Nischlitzsee (jezioro
Nies∏ysz) führt. In Mostki (Möstchen) befindet sich die “Festungsgruppe
Lietzmann”. Der größte Teil dieses Weges führt durch offenes Gelände,
Felder sowie Feuchtwiesen. Die Festungsroute eignet sich vor allem für
Wanderer oder Fahrradfahrer und führt über Wald- und Feldwege, die meistens für Autos unzugänglich sind. Trotzdem sind die meisten Bauwerke
und Objekte auch mit dem PKW erreichbar.
Bemerkenswert sind auch die strategischen Kanäle, welche insgesamt eine
Länge von rund 20 Kilometern aufweisen. Sie sind besonders reizvoll für Kanutouren. Dank der Verbindung des Flüsschens Paklica mit dem Ort GoÊcikowo
(Paradies) kann man dabei auch das Zisterzienserkloster “Paradies” besichtigen, dass als eines der wichtigsten Baudenkmäler der Region gilt.

W latach 1935-1939 Niemcy zbudowali mi´dzy Odrà a Wartà system fortyfikacji, b´dàcy najwi´kszym tego typu obiektem w Europie. Najsilniej ufortyfikowany odcinek centralny tworzy kilkadziesiàt bunkrów, po∏àczonych
podziemnymi tunelami znajdujàcymi si´ na g∏´bokoÊci 30-50 m, o ∏àcznej
d∏ugoÊci ok. 30 km. Podziemna Trasa Turystyczna „P´tla Boryszyƒska”,
znajdujàca si´ w pobli˝u miejscowoÊci Boryszyn, obejmuje najciekawszy,
po∏udniowy odcinek systemu fortyfikacji niedokoƒczonej przez Niemców
baterii pancernej nr 5. Tajemniczy labirynt tuneli, podziemne dworce
kolejowe oraz zespo∏y komór amunicyjnych, koszarowych i technicznych, a tak˝e pozosta∏oÊci dawnych instalacji i konstrukcji stanowià
nadzwyczajnà atrakcj´ turystycznà, dostarczajàcà zwiedzajàcym niezapomnianych wra˝eƒ.
From 1935 to 1939, Germany built a system of fortification between the
Odra and Warta rivers, which constitutes the largest of such structures in
Europe. The most strongly fortified central section consists of numerous
bunkers connected by underground tunnels, situated 30-50 m underground and measuring 30 km in total. The Boryszyn Loop underground tourist
route, near Boryszyn, is a mysterious labyrinth of the underground corridors and chambers of the unfinished German Armoured Battery no. 5, and
this southern area is the most interesting section of the fortifications. This
maze of tunnels, underground train stations, chambers for ammunition,
soldiers and equipment, and the remains of old installations and constructions, forms a remarkable tourist attraction, which is sure to create an
unforgettable impression.

is further enhanced by the guide’s stories concerning one of the biggest
secrets of the Second World War. Many people are attracted to this underground world by the chance to observe the many bats which live there,
which can be seen all year round. From autumn to spring, it is possible to
see the wide variety of bats which spend the winter there, while in summer
months a narrower range are still present.

Der Ostwall lädt ein
Der Ostwall (die Oder-Warthe-Bogen-Festungsfront), eine von den Deutschen in den Jahren 1935-1939 errichtete Befestigungsanlage, ist eine
der größten Anlagen dieser Art in Europa. Sie zieht sich von der Warthe
im Norden bis zur Oder im Süden (das sog. Lebuser Tor) und bildete den
so genannten “Ostwall“, ein strategisches Abwehrsystem gegen Angreifer
aus dem Osten. Auf ganzer Frontbreite wurden etwa 100 schwere Betonbunker gebaut, welche man als Panzerwerke bezeichnete. Die zwei- bis
dreigeschossigen Objekte, deren Wände und Decken bis zu 3 m dick
sind, besaßen bewaffnete Panzertürme aus dickem, massiven Stahl und
waren mit Maschinengewehren, Flammenwerfern und Granatenwerfern
ausgerüstet. Ihre Standorte befinden sich auf Anhöhen, hinter Seen und
Flüssen, Panzersperren und Minenfeldern. Etwa 30 einzelne Panzerwerke
sind untereinander durch unterirdische Gänge verbunden. Die bis zu 50
m unter der Erdoberfläche liegenden Korridore mit vielen Bahnhöfen der
Schmalspurbahn, zahlreichen Kammern, Räumen und Kasernen, bilden
ein unterirdisches Labyrinth mit einer Gesamtlänge von etwa 30 km! Heute
ist die Bunkeranlage ein ganz besonderes Naturobjekt geworden: eines der
wichtigsten Fledermauswinterquartiere Europas. Jedes Jahr überwintern

hier etwa 30.000 Fledermäuse aus 12 Arten. Die häufigste sind Mausohren, Wasserfledermäuse und Mopsfledermäuse. Im Sommer kann man die
Mausohren beobachten. Seit 1980 ist die Anlage als Fledermausreservat
geschützt.
Die Bunkeranlage kann man heute nur auf einem Touristen-Pfad und nur
mit einem Führer besichtigen. Die Führungen durch den Ostwall werden
vom Touristikunternehmen “Pro Nature” angeboten. Der für Touristen zugängliche Teil der Anlage (Panzerbatterie Nr. 5, auch “Burschen-Schleife“
genannt) befindet sich bei der Ortschaft BORYSZYN (Burschen), etwa 6
km nördlich der Gemeinde Lubrza (Liebenau) und etwa 200 km östlich von
Berlin. Es stehen zwei Strecken zur Auswahl: mit einer Dauer von 2- oder 3
Stunden. Interessierte Touristen und Gruppen können die Anlagen vom 01.
April bis 31. Oktober täglich (außer Montags) von 10.00 bis 16.00 Uhr und
Juli und August von 10.00 bis 18.00Uhr besichtigen.
In den Korridoren herrscht eine Lufttemperatur etwa 10°C. Warme Bekleidung
ist im Sommer zu empfehlen, auch eine Taschenlampe kann nützlich sein.

Military Vehicle Rally
In the first weekend of May, in the fields around Boryszyn, an unusual outdoor event takes place: a rally of military vehicles. The only one of its type
in Poland, the rally sees a gathering of military enthusiasts, owners of all
types of army equipment, and crowds of interested viewers, the bunkers of
the Boryszyn Loop forming an appropriate background for the event.
The rally begins with a procession of vehicles. A line of cars, trucks,
transporters and motorbikes, marches through Lubrza towards Boryszyn,
drawing crowds of local residents and visitors. The sight of such unusual
vehicles, including authentically dressed and equipped “Wehrmachts”,
“Red Armies” and “Marines”, creates, amid the dust clouds and the roar
of engines, an extraordinary and unique atmosphere. In the army camp,
you can acquaint yourself with the equipment, listen to lectures and
concerts, look at the military collections, talk to enthusiasts and experts,
and even sample some specialities of army cuisine. The demonstrations
of equipment form a particularly interesting attraction. At the end of the
rally, participants and guests can watch an outdoor performance entitled
“Taking the Panzerwerk”, in which a German bunker defending Boryszyn is
attacked by Russian fire and, as was the case in January 1945, surrenders
and opens the road to Boryszyn.

Das Lebuser Militärfahrzeugstreffen, zu dem Militärfahrzeugliebhaber und
-besitzer verschiedenartiger Fahrzeuge kommen, ist einzigartig in Westpolen. Hobbyisten sowie Massen interessierter Zuschauer wohnen dieser
außergewöhnlichen Veranstaltung bei. Ein guter Hintergrund für diese
Veranstaltung sind die Bunkeranlage und die Panzerwerke der “Burschener Schleife”.

Zlot rozpoczyna defilada pojazdów. Kolumna „gazików”, ci´˝arówek, transporterów i motocykli przeje˝d˝a przez Lubrz´, kierujàc si´ do Boryszyna,
gromadzàc na trasie przejazdu t∏umy mieszkaƒców i goÊci. Niezwyk∏e
pojazdy, oryginalnie umundurowani i wyposa˝eni „wehrmachtowcy”,
„czerwonoarmiÊci” i „marines”, ryk pot´˝nych silników oraz tumany ku-

rzu stwarzajà jedynà w swoim rodzaju i niepowtarzalnà atmosfer´.
W zaaran˝owanym obozie wojskowym mo˝na nie tylko zapoznaç
si´ ze sprz´tem, wys∏uchaç prelekcji i koncertu, obejrzeç kolekcje
militariów, porozmawiaç, ale tak˝e spróbowaç specja∏ów z wojskowej kuchni. Niezwyk∏à atrakcjà sà pokazy sprawnoÊci sprz´tu. Na
zakoƒczenie Zlotu uczestnicy i goÊcie mogà obejrzeç widowisko
plenerowe p. t. „Zdobywanie pancerwerka”. Broniàcy dost´pu do
Boryszyna niemiecki bunkier, ostrzeliwany z dzia∏ i atakowany przez
„Rosjan”, podobnie jak w styczniu 1945 r. pada i droga do Boryszyna
staje otworem.

Das Treffen beginnt mit einer Parade der Fahrzeuge: Willys, Gaz 69,
Lastkraftwagen, Transporter und Motorräder. Sie fahren durch Lubrza
(Liebenau) in Richtung Boryszyn (Burschen). Entlang der Strecke drängen
sich die Anwohner und schaulustigen Gäste. Ungewöhnliche Fahrzeuge,
original uniformierte und ausgestattete Wehrmachtsangehörige, Rotarmisten und US-Marines, das Dröhnen der riesigen Motoren und der aufgewirbelte Staub schaffen eine einmalige Atmosphäre. In speziell eingerichtete
Militärbasen kann man die Fahrzeuge näher besichtigen, Militariasammlungen anschauen, Vorträge hören und darüber hinaus auch an Musikkonzerten teilnehmen und Spezialitäten aus der Feldküche genießen.
Zu den außergewöhnlichen Attraktionen zählen die Fahrzeugvorführungen
im Gelände. Zum Schluss können die Gäste und Teilnehmer die Erstürmung des Panzerwerk Nr. 778 in Boryszyn mitverfolgen - mit russischen
Angreifern und deutschen Verteidigern. Dabei handelt es sich um die Nachstellung eines Gefechtes aus dem Januar 1945.

Lubrza is a place which attracts tourists not only in the summer. It has
many interesting qualities to discover all through the year. The biggest
attractions of the area are:
mushroom picking- 46.3 % of forests are a paradise for mushroom
pickers, who invade Lubrza in late summer and early autumn. The local
forests are full of boletus, cossack and chanterelle mushrooms,
angling - local lakes are renowned for their variety of fish, such as pike,
perch, bream, roach, eel and carp. Those interested are invited to contact

walks - the attractive shape of the land, the foot and cycle tracks, and the
many lakes and forests, provide perfect conditions for long and relaxing
walks. The absence of industry and the light traffic ensure clean air and a

Amateur hunters can also find in Lubrza the perfect place to pursue their

Ablassfeier der Hl. Anna in Nowa Wioska - Am 26. Juli wird in Nowa Wioska das traditionelle Ablassfest gefeiert. Zu diesem Anlass gibt es u. a. so
genannte “Podp∏omyki“, ein regionales Fladenbrot, das auf der Ofenplatte
gebacken wird.

In the first weekend of the holiday, in the second half of June, a regatta
takes place on Lake Nies∏ysz for the Trophy of the Marshal of Lubuskie and
the Mayor of Âwiebodzin.
Impreza odbywa si´ w ramach Lubuskiego Lata Turystycznego.
Uczestniczà w niej cz∏onkowie M∏odzie˝owego Klubu ˚eglarskiego ze
Âwiebodzina, ˝eglarze z innych klubów oraz osoby prywatne.
The event takes place within the framework of the Lubuskie Summer of
Tourism. Participating are members of Âwiebodzin Sailors’ Youth Club as
well as sailors from other clubs and private individuals.
Am ersten Ferienwochenende, in der zweiten Junihälfte, finden auf dem
Nies∏ysz-See die Regatten um die Pokale des Marschalls der Wojewodschaft Lubuskie und des Landrats von Âwiebodzin statt.

P∏ynàc szlakiem kajakowym Lubrza - Jordanowo/GoÊcikowo napotykamy tajemnicze budowle-zapory oraz obszary przypominajàce rezerwaty
przyrody. Âwiadczà o tym liczne Êlady ˝erowania bobrów, zarastajàce
jeziora i dziewicze ost´py leÊne. Jest to bardzo malownicza trasa wiodàca
poprzez lasy, ∏àki i jeziora.
Sp∏yw rozpoczynamy na przystani w miejscowoÊci Lubrza, przed stalowymi wrotami Êluzy. Omijamy jà i p∏yniemy prostym odcinkiem w kierunku
jeziora Lubrza Ma∏a (dobre do w´dkowania), a nast´pnie w kierunku
pó∏nocno-wschodnim.
Wp∏ywamy w kana∏ Rakownik, który przekopano w latach 30-tych XX wieku, przekszta∏cajàc odcinek rzeki Paklicy w przeszkod´ wodnà. P∏yniemy
wÊród poroÊni´tych drzewami ∏àk. Nurt rzeki nabiera szybkoÊci. To znak,
˝e zbli˝amy si´ do zapory. Obecnie omija jà przekop. P∏yniemy znacznym
zw´˝eniem. Wartki nurt niesie nas szybko, po chwili zwalnia i jesteÊmy
przed zaporà. Mo˝emy si´ zatrzymaç i obejrzeç obiekt. Od zapory rzeka
p∏ynie doÊç wartko wàwozem. Po drodze napotykamy du˝e betonowe
bry∏y, pozosta∏oÊci po wysadzonym bunkrze z czasów II wojny Êwiatowej.
Po prawej stronie mijamy widocznà zapor´. Przep∏ywamy pod k∏adkà przed nami jezioro Paklicko Wielkie. Mo˝emy chwil´ odpoczàç, zwiedziç
kolejnà zapor´ i ruiny bunkra .
Kontynuujemy sp∏yw w kierunku wschodniego brzegu. Po ok. 2 km
dop∏ywamy do ujÊcia rzeki Paklicy i pokonujemy próg rzeki z wbitych
w dno pali.
Nieco dalej rozpoczyna si´ prawie puszczaƒski odcinek szlaku. Zwalone
drzewa, mokrad∏a i torfowiska, rzadko odwiedzane przez cz∏owieka, to
dogodne miejsce dla dzikich zwierzàt i ptactwa wodnego. Po lewej stronie mijamy rezerwat przyrody z okaza∏ymi d´bami. DotarliÊmy w okolic´
wsi Nowy Dworek. Przep∏ywamy pod mostem drogowym i docieramy do
jeziora Rudno, skàd widzimy wie˝e klasztoru w niedalekim GoÊcikowieParady˝u. Przep∏ywajàc obok jego zabudowaƒ koƒczymy sp∏yw przy
drodze krajowej Nr 3 Âwiebodzin - Mi´dzyrzecz.
D∏ugoÊç szlaku 12 km. Czas sp∏ywu ok. 10 godzin. Sp∏yw ∏atwy. Powrót do
Lubrzy rowerami turystycznymi drogà leÊnà - 7 km.

Travelling by kayak is a chance to see intriguing structures, such as dams,
as well as areas of natural interest: the shallowing Lakes Rudny, Czarne,
Bia∏e and Rudno, by the buildings of the Paradise monastery. This picturesque journey begins at the harbour in front of the steel water gates. Move
straight ahead towards the excellent fishing waters of Lake Lubrza Ma∏a,
before reaching the broadened river bed to the northeast. The broadening
work was undertaken in the 1930s, transforming this section of river into
a water barrier.
As we pass tree-covered meadows, the current speeds up, signifying that
we are approaching the dam. The fast current carries us quickly through
the narrowing water, before it slows down, bringing us in front of the dam,
at which point the structure can be clearly observed. From the dam, the
river flows quite rapidly down the ravine. Moving out onto Lake Rudny, we
pass the large blocks of concrete which are the remains of the blown-up
bunker. On the right, the dam is visible as we pass. Paddling under the
footbridge, we see Lake Paklicko Wielkie ahead. This is a chance to rest
for a moment, taking in the dam and the ruins of the bunker. Continuing
to the east, after about 2 km we reach the outflow of the river from Lake
Paklicko Wielkie.
Passing the river’s threshold, consisting of poles hidden under the water,
we enter an area reminiscent of a primeval forest, the mass of trees and
largely undisturbed environment providing an ideal habitat for wild animals
and water birds. On the left is a nature reserve with magnificent oaks. Next,
we approach the environs of the village of Nowy Dworek. Passing under
the road bridge, the river turns gently and we enter Lake Rudno. Here the
towers of the monastery mark the end of our journey.

Beim Wasserwandern auf der Route Lubrza-Jordanowo/GoÊcikowo treffen
wir auf seltsame Dammbauten und manche Abschnitte erinnern uns beim
Durchfahren an Naturreservate. Anzeichen dafür sind zahlreiche Spuren
von Bibern, zugewachsene Seen und jungfräuliche Gehölze. Malerisch
führt der Weg durch Wälder, Auen und vorbei an Seen.
Die Reise beginnen wir an der Anlegestelle in Lubrza, vor den stählernen
Toren der Schleuse. Wir umgehen sie und paddeln geradeaus zum Kleinen
Lubrza-See, der auch ein guter Platz zum Angeln ist. Danach fahren wir in
nordöstlicher Richtung und kommen in den Rakownik-Kanal, der in den
30er Jahren des XX. Jahrhunderts angelegt wurde, um diesen Abschnitt
des Flusses Palica in ein Wasserhindernis zu verwandeln. Unser Weg führt
uns durch mit Bäumen bewachsene Wiesen, die Strömung des Flusses
wird schneller. Das ist ein Zeichen dafür, dass wir uns dem Wehr nähern.
Heute umgeht es ein Graben. Wir müssen durch eine ziemlich enge Stelle.
Die eingezwängte Strömung trägt uns schnell, nach einer Weile wird es
wieder langsamer, wir sind am Wehr vorbei. Hier können wir anhalten und
uns das Bauwerk anschauen. Nach dem Wehr fließt der Fluss durch eine
ziemlich enge Schlucht. Unterwegs treffen wir auf große Betonbrocken,
Überbleibsel eines gesprengten Bunkers aus dem II. Weltkrieg. Auf der
rechten Seite ist ein weiteres Wehr zu sehen, dann kommen wir unter
einer Treppe durch und vor uns liegt der Große Paklicko-See. Hier können
wir etwas ausruhen und noch ein Wehr und die Ruinen eines Bunkers
besichtigen.
Wir setzen unsere Fahrt in Richtung des östlichen Seeufers fort. Nach
etwa 2 km erreichen wir die Stelle, an welcher der Fluss Paklica den Große
Paklicko-See verlässt und überwinden die Flussschwelle aus eingerammten
Holzpfählen. Nur wenig weiter beginnt ein Abschnitt fast wie im Urwald:
umgestürzte Bäume, Sümpfe, Moore; eine kaum von Menschen berührte Gegend, ein Paradies für wilde Tiere und Wassergevögel. Links ein
Naturschutzgebiet mit bemerkenswertem Eichenbestand. Wir sind in der
Gegend des Dorfes Nowy Dworek angekommen und unterqueren die
Straßenbrücke.

Der Fuß- und Radwanderweg der Seerosen
Szlak rozpoczyna si´ przy czo∏gu na skwerze w centrum Lubrzy.
Poruszajàc si´ ulicà Âwiebodziƒskà mijamy koÊció∏, nast´pnie przystanek
autobusowy i po prawej stronie boisko pi∏karskie. Przy zabudowaniach
leÊniczówki skr´camy w prawo. Droga prowadzi do ∏àki przed lasem, tu
skr´camy w lewo.
JesteÊmy nad jeziorem Lubie. Ma ono wod´ o I klasie czystoÊci.
Maksymalna g∏´bokoÊç wynosi 35 m. Jest to wyÊmienity akwen dla
p∏etwonurków i w´dkarzy. Po∏o˝enie jeziora przy wysokim brzegu moreny
oraz ∏adna Êcie˝ka spacerowa zach´cajà do w´drówki. Mijamy strumyk ze
êródlanà wodà i dochodzimy do niestrze˝onej pla˝y.
Droga biegnàca wzd∏u˝ brzegu jeziora lekko skr´ca, widzimy pochylonà
brzoz´ (t∏o do fotografii). Docieramy do koƒca jeziora. Idziemy ma∏ym
wàwozem a˝ do drogi brukowej, a nast´pnie asfaltowej. PokonaliÊmy
po∏ow´ szlaku. Przed nami zabytkowy most rolkowy w Nowej Wiosce.
Zatrzymujemy si´ na chwil´ i z tablicy informacyjnej dowiadujemy si´, jak
powsta∏y zabytki na Lubrzaƒskim Szlaku Fortyfikacji.
Kolejny odcinek prowadzi do koÊcio∏a w Nowej Wiosce. Po drodze mijamy pomnik ustawiony dla upami´tnienia by∏ych mieszkaƒców wsi,
ofiar I wojny Êwiatowej. Od koÊcio∏a droga biegnie Êrodkiem wsi do jez.
Goszcza. Po przeciwnej stronie jeziora widzimy pomost i oÊrodek wypoczynkowy, w którym odbywa si´ doroczne Êwi´to „Noc Nenufarów”.
Idziemy brzegiem jeziora i docieramy do wysokiej skarpy. Dochodzimy
do domków letniskowych i mijamy oÊrodek wypoczynkowy Uniwersytetu
Zielonogórskiego.
Koƒcowy odcinek szlaku prowadzi nad kana∏em rzeki Rakownik. Przed
nami widoczne zabudowania m∏yna i przystaƒ kajakowa. Mijamy wodospad forteczny. Do koƒca trasy pozosta∏ krótki odcinek. Przechodzimy
obok Urz´du Gminy. JeÊli to dzieƒ powszedni, mo˝emy wstàpiç i uzyskaç
dodatkowe informacje. Koƒczymy wycieczk´ odpoczynkiem przed pomnikiem czo∏gu. Ogólna d∏ugoÊç szlaku to 7 900 metrów.
Szlak jest w pe∏ni oznakowany, na trasie znajdujà si´ parkingi rowerowe
i miejsca na odpoczynek. W miejscach szczególnie interesujàcych ustawione sà tablice informacyjne.

Nenuphar Foot and Cycle Track
This track begins by the tank situated in Lubrza’s central square. Walking
down Âwiebodziƒska Street, you will pass the church, bus stop and football pitch on the right. Turn right by the forestry building, from which the
road leads to the meadow before the forest.
Here, turn left to find yourself at Lake Lubie, which has been graded as first
class for the cleanliness of it water. With a maximum depth of 35 m, it is an
ideal place for both diving and fishing. The shape of the lake at its high moraine shore and the attractive footpath form an inviting location for walkers.
Pass the spring water brook to reach the unprotected beach.
The road running by the shore turns gently by the stooping birches, providing an excellent background for photos. At the end of the lake, walk down
the small ravine to the paved, and later asphalted, road. By this stage, half
the track has been completed. Ahead is the antique rolling bridge in Nowa
Wioska. The information board here explains how the monuments along
the Lubrza Fortification Trail were built.
Another section leads toward the church in Nowa Wioska, passing a monument commemorating local villagers who lost their lives in the First World
War. From the church, the road leads through the middle of the village to
Lake Goszcza. Across the lake, the pier can be seen upon which the annual
celebration of “Nenuphar Night” takes place. Follow the shore to a high slope, which leads to campsites and Zielona Góra University’s holiday area.
The final part of the track passes the river Rakownik, from where the mill
and kayak harbour can be seen ahead. Beyond the waterfall, only a short
section of the track remains, past the district’s administrative offices,
from which, on a weekday, further information can be obtained. The track
finishes by the monument of the tank, concluding a walk of 7 900 m. The
track is fully signposted and cycle parks and rest areas are provided on the
route. In areas of particular interest, there are information boards describing the places.

Die Route beginnt beim Panzer auf dem zentralen Platz von Lubrza. Sie
führt auf der Swiebodziner Straße, vorbei an der Kirche, an einer Autobushaltestelle und an einem auf der rechten Seite gelegenen Fußballplatz. Beim
Forstamt biegen wir rechts ab.
Der Weg führt zu einer Wiese vor dem Wald, wo wir links abbiegen, und
schon sind wir am Lubie-See. Dieser See hat besonders sauberes Wasser
der I. Reinheitsklasse. Er ist bis zu 35 m tief und ein Spitzengewässer für
Taucher und Angler. Die Lage des Sees am Steilufer der Moräne und der
schöne Spazierweg machen Lust aufs Wandern. Vorbei an einem Bach mit
klarem Quellwasser gelangen wir zu einem unbewachten Badestrand. Der
Uferweg macht eine leichte Biegung und wir sehen eine geneigte Birke, ein
guter Hintergrund zum Fotografieren.
Der See ist zu Ende und es geht weiter durch einen malerischen Hohlweg
bis zur Pflasterstraße und dann auf Asphalt. Wir haben die Hälfte des
Weges geschafft. Vor uns die historische Rollenbrücke in Nowa Wioska.
Während einer kurzen Rast erfahren wir von der Informationstafel, wie die
Sehenswürdigkeiten entlang der Liebenauer Festungsroute entstanden

sind. Der nächste Abschnitt führt uns zur Kirche von Nowa Wioska. Unterwegs kommen wir am Denkmal für die ehemaligen Einwohner des Dorfes
vorbei, die im I. Weltkrieg gefallen sind.
Von der Kirche aus folgen wir dem Weg gerade aus durchs Dorf zum Goszcza-See. Am anderen Ufer sehen wir die Brücke der Badestelle und das
Urlauberzentrum, wo jedes Jahr das Fest der “Seerosennacht“ statt findet.
Wir gehen am Ufer entlang und erreichen eine hohe Böschung, vorbei an
den Ferienhäusern und am Urlauberdorf der Universität von Zielona Góra.
Das letzte Stück des Weges verläuft am Kanal des Flüsschens Rakownik
entlang. Vor uns sehen wir die Gebäude einer Mühle und die Bootsanlegestelle. Wenn wir am Wasserfall vorüber kommen, ist es nicht mehr weit.
Wir erreichen das Gemeindeamt, wo wir an Werktagen nach zusätzlichen
Informationen fragen können. Zum Schluss ruhen wir uns vor dem Denkmal mit dem Panzer aus. Die Gesamtlänge der Strecke beträgt 7.900 m. Die
Route ist vollständig ausgeschildert, unterwegs gibt es Fahrradpark- und
Rastplätze. An besonders interessanten Stellen wurden Informationstafeln
angebracht.
