AGH UST researchers will again travel to USA to get professional
AGH UST researchers will again travel to USA to get professional experience within framework of Top 500 Innovator AGH UST researchers will again travel to USA to get professional experience within framework of Top 500 Innovators We are pleased to inform that seven young AGH UST researchers are among scientists who will have a chance to gain professional experience at the best American universities in April and October this year. Our employees are among 80 researchers and managers of innovation who will get professional experience at the best science-research institutes of the world. Let us remind everyone that in the opening edition of the programme, during a two-month training period at Stanford University, the AGH University of Science and Technology was represented by four scientists: Weronika T. Adrian, MSc, Eliasz Kańtoch, MSc, Sławomir Gruszczyński, DSc, and Daniel Prusak, DSc. They published their observations and remarks on a popular blog . In its assumption, the training scheme "Tom 500 Innovators", organised by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, is meant to improve the qualifications of the Polish R&D (Research and Development) staff in the areas of collaboration with industry, managing research activities, and the commercialisation of scientific results. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education informed that the recently-finished edition of the project was entered by 235 candidates from universities, research institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and the centres for transfer of technologies from all over Poland. After formal assessment of application documents, 158 candidates were invited to take part in interviews in English, where commercialisation achievements, innovativeness of undertaken projects, as well as communication abilities and the command of a foreign language were evaluated. Eventually, 80 finalists of the second edition of "Top 500 Innovators" were singled out - they represent 50 science-research institutions from all over the country. It is worthwhile mentioning that among schools of higher education the AGH University of Science and Technology will again have the biggest number of trainees within the framework of "Top 500 Innovators" Akademia Górniczo-Hutnicza im. Stanisława Staszica w Krakowie 06/03/2017 AGH UST researchers will again travel to USA to get professional experience within framework of Top 500 Innovator (only the Wrocław Research Centre EIT+ will have more representatives). All AGH UST scientists and researchers who will travel to the United States are employees of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatics, Computer Science and Electronics. They are: Mirosława M. Długosz, MSc, Department of Physics Artur Rydosz, MSc, Department of Electronics Krzysztof Wincza, DSc, Department of Electronics Jerzy Domżał, DSc, Department of Telecommunications Piotr Dziurdzia, DSc, Department of Electronics Bartosz Ziółko, DSc, Department of Electronics Marek Długosz, DSc, Department of Automatics Many congratulations to our scientists!
