Course Descriptions
Note: Beginning from semester 02 students can choose optional courses. Optional courses are conducted as
tutorials, 2 hours per week, 30 hours per semester. The number of ECTS credits for each course: 3.
Semesters 01-10
obligatory courses
During semesters 1 to 8 the obligatory courses are offered as part of a general, basic and specialised training. The courses are
constructed according to the Resolution No 589/99 of the General Council for Higher Education from the 25th Nov. 1999
(Uchwała Nr 589/99 Rady Głównej Szkolnictwa Wyższego z dnia 25 listopada 1999 r.). The foreign language course (as part of
general training) has been extended hourly: L1 level (basic language) – total 240 hours and L2 level (additional language) –
also total 240 hours. Foreign language courses offered to the students include: English, French, Spanish, German and Russian.
Some of the obligatory courses are conducted in co-operation with International Relations Institute (International Relations
program, 4 specialisation tracks) or the program is similar. Courses in co-operation: Political and Economic Geography, Basics
of Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Part 1 & 2 (sem. 1 &2), Basics of statistics (sem. 2), International Public Law
(sem. 4), Common Law and European Integration (sem. 5), Diplomatic and Consular Law (sem. 6), International Economic
Relations, Part 1 & 2 (sem. 7-8). The descriptions of these courses can be found above, in the International Relations
