and Junior categories at the Sports and Recreation Center of

VI. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION:
1. In IV Polish Open Shinkyokushin Karate can participate representations of
Clubs which consist of any number of competitors in any category. The
team score depends on the sum of points scored in different weight
categories. Scoring:5,3,1 points for I, II, III place respectively.
2. To be admitted to the competition, you must have:
- The consent of a doctor, parent
- medical certificate
- Shin and fist pads ( when participating in kumite ),
-Valid document stating the age,
- Clean white kimono.
3. The manager of the centre/club is obliged to judge the competition,
therefore he should have a complete judging costume
(black or blue shirt and trousers, white bow tie , a whistle).
4. The tournament will be played individually in a knockout format.
5. Fights for the under 18s will be held in the light contact and semi contact
rules, without low-kick and hands on face attack.

6. Competitors must have their own suspensoria, shin/instep protectors and
gloves.
VII SCORING AND JUDGING:
1. Under-age competitors:
a.) Points ( wazari ) will be given for proper, controlled jodan technique or
refusing the fight by opponent up to 3 seconds.
b.) Scoring 2 wazari points or one ippon means ending the battle ahead of
time,
c.) The fight lasts 1,5 min, optionally play-off 1 min.
2. Off-age ( over 18 ) competitors:
The tournament will be played and judged according to the rules and
regulations of WKO.
3. Kumite categories:
Boys:
a.) 10-11 years old
Born 2003-2004 one weight category
b.) 12-13 years old
Born 2002-2001 two weight categories:-45, +45 kg
c.) 14-15 years old
Born 2000-1999 two weight categories:-50, +50 kg
d.) 16-17 years old
Born 1998-1997 (under 18 ) -65, -70kg,+70 kg
e.) 18-21 years old
Over 18 -fights in the knock-down format, in pads on
crossbones with low kick . -70 kg, -75 kg, -80 kg, + 80 kg
Girls:
a.) 10-11 years old
Born 2003-2004 one weight category
b.) 12-13 years old
Born 2002-2001 one weight category
c.) 14-15 years old
Born 2000-1999 one weight category
d.) 16-17 years old
Born 1998-1997 one weight category
e.) 18-21 years old

Rules for the kata competition:
a.) Kata will be played in two rounds: I preliminary round , II final round,

b.) In I round the competitor does the kata given by the conducting judge (
suitable to his age category ),
c.) In II round the competitor does one chosen kata in the optional version
( suitable to his age category ),
d.) To the final round get 8 competitors from each age category.
Children and younger cadets categories ( girls and boys ) participate in the
tournament in the non-contact form (Rule: Dziennik Ustaw Nr.6 par.3 ust.1 )
with full protection on: head ( helmets with bars ), trunk ( hogo armour ), crotch
( suspensoria ), shin, feet and hands ( soft pads ).
Junior categories ( girls and boys): ( Rule: Dz.U. Nr.6 par.3
ust.4 ) participate in the tournament in the limited (semi) contact form.
U21 categories ( over 18 ): full contact according to valid rules

4. The Organizer has the right to introduce necessary changes in these
regulations concerning organizational matters.
5. Complaints and requests should be addressed to the main judge and the
organizer
6. The organizers kindly request to send the application forms in advance ( to

22 may 2014 ) to enable effective registration and arrangement of the
participants. Verification of the lists of participants will take place on
24 may 2014 ( saturday ).
There is possibility of arranging 8-9 year olds category if the clubs report such
participants.
