The school system isn’t the same all over the country. Elementary schools are for children from age 5 to age 12. The first year of school is kindergarten and the second year is first grade. There are six years of elementary school altogether. Children in junior high school are 12-14 years old. Junior high school is the same as middle school and children go to grades 6-8 here.
