For the second time the best pig suppliers of Polish Meat Concern DUDA S.A. arrived in Górzno to find
out who won Breeder Of 2008 contest. Over 50 finalist, who have been chosen out of 1000 candidates
from all over the country, took part in the ceremonial gala.
Breeder Of The Year Contest has been organized for several years by Polish Meat Concern DUDA S.A. Previously
known as The Contractation Ranking, it is the biggest meat business event of its kind, adressed to the suppliers of
livestock on the Polish market. It aims at awarding the contracted farmers who provide large amounts of livestock of
high and stable quality. Pig breeders from all over Poland participate in the contest while its popularity grows year by
year.
The representatives of Polish Meat Concern DUDA S.A. congratulated the winners and thanked all the breeders for
their cooperation over the last twelve months.
I would like to thank all our partners, especially those who have been regularly renewing contracts with us. I can see
many familiar faces and I’m very happy to see you taking part in our special event. That’s the time I can really express
my gratitude towards your exceptional skills and compliment the effects of your everyday efforts. I hope that we will
continue meeting in the finals of our contest future editions. I would also like to thank our Gala Partners which are the

The last twelve months, especially the first six of them, have been very difficult for everybody in the meat business. It
was all due to the prices of livestock production which grew continually while the market conditions didn’t allow any
increase in the livestock prices itself. The situation has greatly influenced pork producers as well as abbatoirs and
meat processing plants. Both small agricultural farms and big producers have suffered. The cooperation with PKM
DUDA S.A., a large and financially stable partner, provides production and sales stability for every farmer.
That is why I greatly recommend all the pig breeders to take part in our contractation schemes. I would also like to
thank all our long-term partners who have been cooperating with us on the regular basis – said Grzegorz Ograbek,
