Dear Sir / Madam,
We are pleased to invite you to join I Eastern Business Forum held from June 25-26, 2015 in Lublin - an
event organized by the Regional Government of Lublin and Lublin Foundation for Business and International
Cooperation.
The Forum will gather ca. 500 participants, including numerous important figures such as ministers, chambers of
commerce representatives, economists of eastern markets and entrepreneurs from: Poland, Ukraine, Belarus,
Uzbekistan, Moldova, China, India, Italy, France, Switzerland and Africa, as well as representatives of the
following renowned associations: Business Center Club, Lubelskie Forum Pracodawców, Konfederacja Lewiatan,
Fundacja Rozwoju Lubelszczyzny, Lubelska Fundacja Rozwoju and OIC Lublin.
Sławomir Sosnowski, the Marshall of the Lubelskie Voivodeship, has taken on a Honorary Patronage of the event
and the following media will cover the I Eastern Business Forum: TVN24 Biznes i Świat, TV Polsat, TVP Lublin,
Radio RMF, Radio Lublin, Gazeta Wyborcza Dziennik Wschodni, Nasze Miasto, terenyinwestycyjne.info, Gazeta
samorządu i administracji.
The most fundamental goal of the event is to emphasize the position and role of the Lublin region and cities as
an attractive meeting place for entrepreneurs, regional civil servants, and representatives of authorities from
partner cities, from the European Union and among others of Ukraine, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, China,
India, Russia, Moldova and of Africa.
The event brings together politics, macroeconomics and investment experts, delegates of customs services and
border, agency of the regional development, as well as practitioners in the field of eastern markets who will
debate on current conditions of running a business in the international environment, with strong focus on both
Eastern partners and those from Western Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
Since the target audience of the I Eastern Business Forum consists mainly of entrepreneurs, individual trade
meetings of companies will be the key element of the program, taking the form of "business2business" and
"business2administration" networking. What will further complete the practical part of the agenda will be case
study addressing the needs of entrepreneurs, as well as studio visits on June 26.
In addition, special panel discussions will be held: East-Invest - presentations of the economic potential of the
Lublin province and investment companies from the Lublin province offerings, as well as the panels concerning
the corporate social responsibility and the development of economic cooperation between regions and the
bioeconomy, the renewable energy and the healthy ecological food and the engineering industry.
I Eastern Business Forum relates thematically to the scope of operations of Eastern Competence Centre thinktank founded by the Marshall of the Lubelskie Voivodeship and Mayor of Lublin City with the cooperation of
United Nations Development Programme in Poland. The organization's mission is to inspire and activate crossborder cooperation between the European Union and Eastern Europe and to incite the mutual communication
and dialogue.
The crucial role of the local government is to create suitable climate and encourage business partners to meet
and cooperate. Therefore the government of the Lublin Province is striving for establishing the strong position of

the Lublin region as an attractive meeting place of politicians and entrepreneurs from the European Union and
Ukraine, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Moldova, Africa, China and India.
Contacts between eastern countries and the Lublin province are becoming increasingly intense over the time,
therefore enabling to establish the cooperation between countries of the East and the Lublin province is so
important.
We are convinced that I Eastern Business Forum will create wide abilities for the development of the business in
Lublin region, Poland, Europe and in the world, and will be a unique opportunity for establishing many new
international contacts.
