Dear Ed,
Tyco Electronics, AMP NETCONNECT has recently completed extensive evaluations
comparing the Lantek 2 test results of critical electrical parameters specified in TIA-568-C.2
against a network analyzer testing the AMP NETCONNECT Cat Se, Cat 6 U/UTP, and Cat 6A
F/UTP systems. The results of this qualification test greatly exceeded our expectations with
respect to the accuracy levels of key electrical parameters reported by the Lantek 2 series testers

used in this evaluation.
Tyco Electronics fully approves certification or our Category 5e, Category 6, and Category 6A
solutions using Lantek 2 test instruments.
