Comments
Rawicz is situated in south-western part of Wielkopolskie Voivodeship. It is very well
located, taking into consideration the network of roads – at our territory, the national
road no. 5 (Poznan-Wroclaw) and the national road no. 36 (Kalisz – Zielona Góra)
are crossing. What is essential, the north ring road of Rawicz (the section of
national road no. 36) has just been given to use, while by the end of 2014 the
western ring road (the section of building expressway Poznań-Wrocław) will be in
working order. Secondly, we are located near big cities – 60 km from Wrocław (near
A4 motorway) and 100 km from Poznań (near A2 motorway). The closest border
crossings are at southern-west: Zgorzelec-Görlitz (Germany), Kudowa SłoneNachód and Lubawka-Kralovec (the Czech Republic). Additionally, the international
railway line Wrocław-Poznań runs through Rawicz. The territory of Rawicz

commune covers an area of 133.64 km that is inhabited by almost 30000 people

(7.81 km and 22000 people – these are parameters only for the city of Rawicz),
living in Rawicz and other 22 villages.
In our commune, there are functioning numerous little, private enterprises,
operating in transport and logistics industry. In the neighborhood of the Rawicz
subzone of WSEZ there are situated petrol station, restaurant and hotel.
The Rawicz commune offers proposs following property tax exemptions to
Investors:
a) De minimis aid (The City Council of The Rawicz Commune resolution no.
VI/39/07 from March 28, 2007):
 Exemption period: 2 years
 Basic condition is to build a new building, where will be operated the
business activity
 Exclusion: buildings related to the business activity with the surface
over 200 m2 and planned for petrol station
 Deadline: applying within 14 days since completing the investment
 Maximum amount: EURO 200 000
b) Regional aid (The City Council of The Rawicz Commune resolution no. VI/40/07
from March 28, 2007):
 Exemption period: 5 years
 Basic condition: initial investment (i.e. creation a new plant or its
extension; acquisition of a plant that had been closed or would have
been closed if it had not been purchased) or creation new workplaces
 Exclusion: buildings and structures related to trade activity and petrol
stations
 Deadline: applying before the beginning of an investment
 Maximum amount: the sum of five-years tax, but not more than 40% of
costs qualified for inclusion in the public aid (eg. production hall with

15000 m surface x PLN 17.96 (tax rate) x 5 years = PLN 1 347 000,00
= EURO 320 000,00

Rawicz commune provides rich cultural offer: The House of Culture, The Rawicz
Land Museum, Promień Cinema. It also provides rich sports base: Orliki,
multifunctional sports fields, skatepark, speedway stadium, swimming pool. In
Rawicz commune, a lot of famous sportsman have been brought up. The biggest
advantage of Rawicz are unique Planty (Tree Lanes) and the urban arrangement on
a chessboard plan.
