The core business activity of PKS w Gnieźnie sp. z o.o. is passenger bus transport, including line
passenger transport, contract transportation and special-occasion transport. The company also lets
office space and facilities and provides a range of other services, including driving instruction in a
Driving school which it runs.
Company's main customers are school children commuting to schools, as well as municipal offices
(also as part of the organization of school children's transport to schools). The bus fleet of PKS w
Gnieźnie Sp. z o.o. consists of 67 buses. The company is licensed for passenger transport, whereas
14 buses are licensed for international passenger transport.
In addition, the Company is a perpetual usufructor of land in Gniezno, at ul. Kolejowa 2, of a total
area of 17 286 m2 and land at ul. Kolejowa 13 in Września, of an area of 3 455 m2, in respect to
which there are pending proceedings concerning its restitution.
On the real estate at ul. Kolejowa 2 in Gniezno, there are buildings owned by PKS of a total usable
area of 2 412 m2, while at ul. Kolejowa 13 in Września, the usable area of buildings is 319 m2. The
Company leases land from PKP (Polish National Railways) at ul. Pocztowa in Gniezno, where the
bus station is located, while PKS is the owner of the station building and bus shelter.
The main strategic objectives of PKS w Gnieźnie sp. z o.o. include preserving its current share in
local market passenger transport services (currently amounting to 80%), particularly with respect
to transportation services within up to 30 km radius of Gniezno and Września, as well as ensuring
high comfort transport at competitive rates. Moreover, the company is planning to take on the role
of a regional transport operator following adoption of the new public road transport act.
