Information about the Project
This survey is part of a doctoral research project, which is aimed at studying elements of cultural
translation in the processes of cultural adaptation of Polish migrants in the East Midlands in the UK.
The survey and the interview offer a possibility to reflect upon the two cultures: Polish and British and
upon your life decisions. The ultimate aim is to inform policy makers about the adaptation needs of
Polish migrants and to address certain public policy concerns regarding migration and issues of
migrant social interaction and adaptation in the UK. The survey is aimed at a sample based in the East
Midlands.
Your participation in the project is voluntary and anonymous unless declared otherwise. You can fill in
the questionnaire only or you can complete the questionnaire and volunteer to take part in a recorded
interview. Please answer as many questions as you can. The questionnaire is not aimed at judging
views, but it is meant to capture the diversity of opinions, attitudes, and approaches.

Informacja o badaniach/projekcie
Kwestionariusz jest częścią badań doktoranckich, których celem jest przeanalizowanie elementów
translacji kulturowej w procesach adaptacyjnych polskich imigrantów w regionie East Midlands.
Zarówno kwestionariusz, jak i rozmowa dają uczestnikom badania możliwość refleksji nad obydwoma
kulturami, polską i brytyjską, oraz nad podjętymi decyzjami życiowymi. Docelowo badania zmierzają
w kierunku informowania lokalnych decydentów o potrzebach adaptacyjnych polskich imigrantów.
Ponadto, niniejsze badania są również ukierunkowane na zwrócenie uwagi na problemy imigrantów
oraz kwestie interakcji i adaptacji społecznej polskich imigrantów w Wielkiej Brytanii. Badania są
zorientowane na reprezentatywną próbę w rejonie East Midlands.
Państwa udział w badaniach jest dobrowolny i anonimowy, jeśli nie zadeklarują Państwo imiennego
udziału. Mogą Państwo wypełnić tylko kwestionariusz lub dodatkowo mogą Państwo wziąć udział w
rejestrowanej rozmowie. Proszę odpowiedzieć na możliwie najwięcej pytań. Niniejszy kwestionariusz
nie jest ukierunkowany na ocenę opinii, a na uchwycenie różnorodności pogladów i postaw.
