I. READING
Simon Marley lives in London. His family comes
from India, but they live in England now. They are
immigrants. Mr Marley is an engineer and he works in the
computer company. His wife is a nurse at the hospital in the
suburbs of London. They have now a small terraced house
near the River Thames.
Simon is 15 years old. He has two sisters and a
brother. Tina is 13 and Rita is 11 . His brother Arjuna is 18
and he is a student at Cambridge University.
Every morning Simon gets up at 7.30. Before he
goes to school he has traditional English breakfast: fried
bacon and eggs, a sausage, beans, tomatoes, toast and
coffee. He is at school between 9 and 4 o'clock p.m. This
year he is studying English, Spanish, Maths, Physics,
Chemistry, Geography, Information Technology and
Physical Education. His favourite subject is IT. He is also
very good at Maths and languages. In his free time Simon
likes reading adventure novels, rollerblading, horse riding,
fishing in the Thames, playing the guitar and surfing the
Internet.
When he leaves school he wants to go to university
and become a computer programmer.
