where we are (in Lithuanian).
We can continue our trip on Szeszupa on the Lithuanian territory, passing the towns of Kalvarija, Marijampole and Pilviskiai. This long, few day trip finishes in the town of Kudirkos Naumiestis, from
where Szeszupa becomes the border river of the
Lithuania and Russia.
16.6 km – the road bridge in Poszeszupie.Before the
bridge, from the left bank, river Wigra flows into Szeszupa from the north. At this point we can finish our
adventure with Szeszupa or sail further so that after an
hour you can find yourself on the road bridge, on the
Lithuanian side. Later the river has gentle curves.
18.5 km – state border (27 km from headwater of Szeszupa). In fact, it is difficult to determine at which
point we cross the Polish-Lithuanian border. After
about 25 minutes from the bridge in Poszeszupie, we
reach an unused bridge (this is already at the territory of the Republic of Lithuania), after 2-3 minutes
we will encounter another unused bridge on the route.
