Wprowadzenie. 7 Introduction. Artistic reflection on the sources of the creative process repeatedly refers to the concept of time and the complex role of the artist in this aspect. In everyday life we perceive the reality around us through the aspect of sequential events which bring a variety of feelings. Despite utopia, which I closely approach in the project, and which is an inherent part of an artist’s mission in the world, it is impossible to separate from the environment strongly enough to avoid its influence on our internal life. On the contrary - we are open to the experience of externality, because subconsciously we want to experience the sensations associated with it, the thrills and excitements that become a positive feature of our existence, giving it a certain direction and meaning, and often explanation. The world built upon everyday experience shapes our views and attitudes to other people, but also reflections on ourselves. It also shapes an active attitude towards the surrounding reality, which manifests itself as an emotional and physical reaction to all types of existential needs. Just as the needs of existential nature are reflected in developing activity in the field of technology, serving their satisfaction, also the inner world of sensations and feelings of a human being drives the activity of a less practical nature - artistic creation. Despite the widespread belief in the legitimacy of producing useful objects, it is difficult to apply the same approach to the world of art, which indirectly defines who we are. For art is the most primeval form of human activity, an indirect way through which we become aware of our real needs, both spiritual and material. Artists create a new reality, in search of a combined effect of the world they are familiar with and the external world. By actuating the language of form, an artist tries to reveal the meaning which is important for him, and that often functions independently of the overall experience accumulated by the audience. However we define art, despite the diversity, we will always refer to its effects and the author’s intentions, the interactions between the intention and its effect, and to the artist’s dialogue with the audience.
