The cyclone filter is a completely maintenance-free hybrid type filter consisting of a multi-cyclone shunted by a bag filter working in the bags cleaning on-line mode. The set is supported by the centrifugal fan with an inverter equalizing the resistance difference between the multi-cyclone and the bag filter shunt. This filter is characterized by low power consumption, high reliability and ease of use. The cyclone filter is composed of two individual chambers located side by side. One chamber is the multi-cyclone and the other is the bag filter that shunts the first one. The precipitated dust and a part of gas leave the cyclone through the funnels to the collecting hopper and the remaining purified part of the gas exits through the outlet pipes to the clean gas channel. The collecting hopper is vented through the bag filter that prevents secondary dusting in the multi-cyclone, improving its efficiency. In order to compensate the difference in resistance of the two parts of the cyclone filter, the bag filter is supported by a fan with stepless efficiency adjustment for optimum ratio of gas distribution in the multi-cyclone. The bag filter is divided into two parts: raw (gas from the cyclone discharge openings) and clean (purified gas directed through the fan to clean gas channel). A compartment of the raw gas chamber is separated from the clean gas compartment by sieve plate. It has openings on its surface, where the filter bags and supporting hoppers are suspended. Raw gas enters the filter sections and then passes through the surface of the bags fabric, leaving the dust particles on its outer layer. When a layer of the dust accumulated this way (the so-called filter cake) increases, the differential pressure measured between the filter inlet and the outlet also increases to a certain level above the nominal value, which is immediately detected by the bag filter control system. At this point, the filter controller starts the process of cleaning the filter bags. A dust hopper, located below the chambers, has mounted manholes in order to conduct periodic reviews of its interior. From the top, the clean gas chamber is closed with manhole covers, sealing the chamber by means of the appropriate system of set screws. The size of the manhole covers allows their removal without hoists. The manhole covers are secured with insulating cartridges, which at the same time constitute the roof of the chamber. Access to the roof is provided through a ladder from the platform at the height of the bearings of the supporting structure. The bags are installed and exchanged from the clean gas side without the use of special tools. The cyclone filter is designed primarily to clean flue gas from boilers with a capacity of up to 35 MW. During start-up, the entire flue gas may be passed through the multi-cyclone without bags (no by-passes are required). The value of dust emission at the filter outlet – less than 100mg/Nm3. ELWO S.A. ul.
