Amatorom wycieczek rowerowych polecam wyprawę do zachodniej części gminy przez zielone, gęsto zadrzewione tereny aż do dworku w Manach, gdzie kręcono serial „Złotopolscy”. Zmęczonych i strudzonych wędrowców zachęcam do odwiedzenia dobrze zaopatrzonych sklepów, skorzystania z gęstej sieci różnych usług, zaspokojenia apetytu w serwujących lokalne przysmaki restauracyjkach. Barbara Galicz Burmistrz Tarczyna 4 Amateur cyclists would do well to cycle past verdant, thick forests to the western part of the district, towards the Manor House at Many, where “Zlotopolscy” day-time soap is filmed. (“The Zlotopolskis” – with english subtitles, viewable on satellite TV). Whenever you are need of refreshment and sustenance from your journeying, take the opportunity to visit the well– stocked shops, make use of any of the numerous services we have on offer to the tourist and visitor – for example, satisfy your apetite in any of the restaurants serving hearty, local fare. Tarczyn is an ideal location for those who long to escape from the intensive hustle and bustle of city life. It is well worth a visit, to explore, to re-discover and, who knows – maybe even to settle? Tarczyno (1303), Tarczyn (1353,1580), Tharczino (1355, 1241), Tarcynum (1634). Pierwsze wzmianki o Tarczynie pochodzą z 1259 roku. W roku 1353 książę mazowiecki Kazimierz I nadał osadzie prawa miejskie magdeburskie i ufundował kościół pod wezwaniem Św. Mikołaja. Tarczyn’s history reaches back to the 13th century, when a local trading–post and market was established close to the banks of a small river, known today as Tarczynka, thereby deriving its name from this river. Early documented references to the locality include: “Tarczin” (1284), Tarczyno (1303), Tarczyn (1353,1580), Tharczino (1355, 1241), Tarcynum (1634). Tarczyn was first mentioned in 1259. In 1353 the Mazovian Prince Casimir I gave the locality its Magdeburgian Town Charter and financed the founding of St. Nicolas’s church. Zniszczenia w dobie „potopu szwedzkiego” w XVII wieku Tarczyn was a borough town in the 16th century, however it fell into gradual decline following the wholesale devastation in the wake of the 17th century „Swedish Deluge” and then the great fire of 1704. This was further compounded by the country’s fate, such that by the time of the Last Partition of Poland in 1795, the town Kościół pod wezwaniem Św.
