Znak baranka przewija się przez całą historię
Narodu Wybranego.
wszystkich pierworodnych.
To prawda, Bóg wiele razy działał w Narodzie
Wybranym, ale to była interwencja najmocniejsza. Były też
inne znaki: chleb, kielich z winem, gorzkie zioła...
Niecałe 1300 lat po wydarzeniach z Egiptu grupa
Apostołów wraz z Jezusem zasiadła do uczty paschalnej,
żeby świętować tajemnicę wyjścia.
Co ciekawe, opisy ewangelistów zgadzają się z tym,
co wiemy na temat świętowania Paschy, ale z jednym
wyjątkiem: brak w nich baranka. Dlaczego? To chyba
jasne: tym razem prawdziwy Baranek – Jezus zasiada do
wieczerzy

The symbols and actions of baptism evolved around the
experience of adults dying to old patterns of life and rising
from the waters of baptism as new creations. As for newborn babies, at first it was desired to wait until the following
Easter, when they could be baptized, anointed with chrism,
and given a taste of the Eucharist in association with
adults. The Church was always willing to baptize adults in
emergency situations outside the Easter timetable, and in
time, since infancy itself was a life-threatening situation,
the baptism of babies became commonplace. As with the
“emergency” adult baptisms, it was required that parents
bring the child, as soon as health was recovered, to the
bishop for the full menu of sacraments.
The very real fear of death for infants thus created a
situation in which the three sacraments drifted apart from
each other, and away from their original, adult celebration
at Easter. Today, at last, we know a great deal about how
our practices evolved. This knowledge is reshaping how
we celebrate Easter, how we receive adult faith, and how
we structure the faith journey of children.

The 41 Annual March For Life
January 22 , 2014
st
nd
The March for Life in Washington D.C. began as a grassroots response of pro-lifers nationwide to Roe v. Wade,
the 1973 Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion
throughout the 9 months of a woman's pregnancy.
Each year, inspired by the Holy Spirit’s gift of Reverence, Catholics
and all people of good will come together to pray and publicly intercede on
behalf of the unborn, their parents, families, our communities, our nation
and its leaders - that this prayerful presence may open hearts, minds, souls
to the fullness of the Gospel of Life in our lives and laws.
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has declared that in
all the dioceses of the United States of America, January 22nd shall be observed as a particular day of penance for violations to the dignity of the human person committed through acts of abortion, and of prayer for the full
restoration of the legal guarantee of the right to life.

The Gospel reading from
John tells of Jesus’ commissioning by the Father in the Holy
Spirit to bring salvation to all, to
take away the sins of the world.
This Chosen One has come to
baptize the world in God’s Spirit.
As you hear these words,
consider your own task to bring the good news of salvation to everyone you will meet in the coming days,
weeks, years.
