O pensjonacie
Pensjonat KIPNICK mieści się w sercu Mazur − niezwykłej urody
krainie, która przejęła swą nazwę od imienia dawnych mieszkańców:
Mazurów − nad jeziorem, przez które przepływa trasa słynnego spływu
rzeką Krutynią.
Ośrodek KIPNICK położony jest we wsi Spychowo, która przed wojną
nosiła nazwę Pupen (niem. Lalki). Nazwę zmieniono w latach 60. na
skutek protestów miejscowej ludności, niezadowolonej z powszechnego
stosowania spolszczonej nazwy Pupy. Przez wiele wieków osada pełniła
funkcję strażnicy ważnego szlaku handlowo−wojennego wzdłuż granicy
z Mazowszem. W XV wieku zamek postawiony na miejscu strażnicy
przebudowano na zameczek myśliwski i zaczęli się do niego zjeżdżać
książęta pruscy na polowania. Puszcza obfitowała w zwierzynę, więc
w Pupach gościli również polscy królowie. Dziś miejsce, w którym stał
zameczek myśliwski doskonale widać z okien naszego pensjonatu,
a okoliczne lasy nadal są łaskawe dla zwolenników polowań.
Obco brzmiąca nazwa pensjonatu − KIPNICK − wiąże się z historią okolic.
W 1698 roku na obszarze porośniętym przez gęste lasy Puszczy
Jańsborskiej (pozostałe do dziś jej fragmenty nazwano Puszczą Piską),
na półwyspie pomiędzy jeziorami Zyzdrój Mały i Zyzdrój Wielki, dwaj
osadnicy z Mazowsza − Kipnik i Kania założyli wieś, którą po latach
nazwano KIPNICK (zniemczono pisownię nazwiska). Kolejnymi
właścicielami okolicy byli hrabiostwo Wyszomirscy i ich potomkowie,
którzy przez blisko sto lat wiedli sielski żywot w centrum dzikiej puszczy.
Dziś na miejscu dawnego KIPNICKA rośnie las, a pośród drzew stoi
samotny grób ostatnich właścicieli, Henriette i Johana Wyszomirskich.
Nasz pensjonat znajduje się 3 km na południe od tego miejsca.
Przez ostatnie sto lat nazwa KIPNICK funkcjonowała jedynie w pamięci
leśników, wędkarzy i myśliwych. Aby zachować ślad wspaniałej historii
okolicy, nazwaliśmy tak nasz pensjonat. Dzięki temu także współcześni
wielbiciele Mazur będą kojarzyć KIPNICK z wyjątkowym pięknem
przyrody, bogactwem krajobrazu, ciszą i komfortowym wypoczynkiem.

About the pension
The pension is situated in the heart of Mazuria − a land of remarkable
beauty, which took its name after its ancient inhabitants: Mazurs. The
pension is located at the lake, which is a part of the famous Krutynia River
kayak trail.
KIPNICK is situated in Spychowo village, which was named Pupen before
the war (in German: Puppets). The name was changed in the 60s as
a result of protest of local inhabitants dissatisfied with the Polish tone of the
commonly used name Pupy. For many centuries, the settlement was
a stronghold at the important commercial and war trail along the border with
Mazovia. In the 15th century, the castle erected at the place of the stronghold
was rebuilt into a hunting palace visited by Prussian princes. The wild
forests were full of animals so even Polish kings were visitors to Pupy. The
place where the hunting palace once stood is well visible from our pension
and the neighbouring forests are still generous for hunters.
KIPNICK − the name that is strange to the ear − is connected with the
history of the region. In 1698, at the territory of a dense wild forest Puszcza
Jańsborska (their remaining fragment are now called Puszcza Piska), at the
peninsula between the lakes Zyzdrój Mały and Zyzdrój Wielki, two settlers
from Mazovia, Kipnik and Kania, founded a village that after many years was
called KIPNICK (the spelling of the name was in German fasion). Count and
countess Wyszomirscy and their descendants were the next owners of the
area. For almost one hundred centuries, they led an idyllic life in the middle
of a wild forest. Today, at the place of old KIPNICK a forest is growing, and
a lonely tomb of the last owners, Henriette and Johan Wyszomirski, is
looming among the trees. Our pension is 3 kilometres south of this place.
Over the last hundred years, the name KIPNICK functioned only in the
memory of foresters, fishermen, and hunters. To preserve the trace of the
remarkable history of the region, we gave such name to our pension. In this
way, all admirers of Mazuria will associate the name KIPNICK with an
exceptional beauty of nature, richness of the landscape, peace and
comfortable resting conditions.
Über die Pension selbst
Die Pension befindet sich im Herz von Masuren − eines Landstriches von
ungewöhnlicher Schönheit, das sein Name von der Benennung der ehemaligen
Bewohner − Masuren übernommen hat. Die Pension liegt am See, über den die
Route der Kanufahrt auf dem Fluss Krutynia verläuft.
Die Pension KIPNICK liegt in der Ortschaft Spychowo, die vor dem Kriege Pupen
benannt war. Infolge der erhobenen Proteste der hiesigen Leute, die mit dem
polonisierten Namen Pupy (poln. Popos) unzufrieden waren, wurde der Name in
den 60er Jahren geändert. Mehrere Jahrhunderte lang war die Siedlung eine Art
des Wachtturms einer wichtigen Handels− und Kriegsstraße an der Grenze mit
Masowien. Die im XV. Jahrhundert errichtete Burg wurde in ein Jagdschlosschen
umgebaut und die preußischen Fürsten begannen dort Jagdausflüge zu veranstalten.
Pupen haben auch polnische Könige besucht, da der Urwald an Wild reich war. Aus
den Fenstern unserer Pension ist der Platz, wo das Jagdhaus gestanden hat, sehr
gut sichtbar und die umliegenden Wälder sind für Jagdleute nach wie vor gnädig.
Der fremd lautende Name der Pension − KIPNICK − ist mit der lokalen Geschichte
verbunden. Zwei Ansiedler aus Masowien Kipnik und Kania haben im Jahre
1698 auf dem Gebiet des Jańsborska − Urwaldes (die restlichen Urwaldfragmente
gehören heute dem Piska − Urwald) zwischen den Seen Zyzdrój Mały und Zyzdrój
Wielki eine Siedlung gegründet, die nach einigen vergangenen Jahren KIPNICK
(die Schreibweise des Namens wurde germanisiert) benannt wurde. Später
gehörte die Ortschaft der Graffamilie Wyszomirscy, die rund eine Hundert Jahre
ein idyllisches Leben im Zentrum des wilden Urwaldes führten. Dort, wo damaliges
KIPNICK gestanden hat, bewächst Wald und zwischen den Bäumen ist ein
einsames Grab der letzten Besitzer Henriette und Johann Wyszomirscy zu sehen.
Unsere Pension liegt 3 km südlich von diesem magischen Platz.
Der Name KIPNICK lebte über die letzten hundert Jahre nur im Gedächtnis
von Waldleuten, Angler und Jäger. Um ein Zeichen dieser interessanten
Geschichte im Gedächtnis zu bewahren, haben wir somit unsere Pension
genannt. Die zeitgenossischen Masurenbewunderer verbinden KIPNICK mit
der eigenartigen Naturschönheit, mit der reichen Landschaft mit der Stille und
mit komfortabler Erholung

Zapewniamy pełne wyżywienie. Podajemy potrawy kuchni polskiej
i regionalnej. Na życzenie organizujemy uroczystą kolację, ognisko
z pieczeniem dzika, sarny lub prosięcia. Pod wiatą grillową serwujemy
specjały pieczone na „cygańskiej kracie” − żeberka w miodzie, polędwicę
zawijaną w boczek, szaszłyki z dzika i inne. Podajemy również wędzone
przez nas świeże ryby.
Catering
We guarantee excellent cuisine. We serve dishes based on regional or
Polish cuisine. Upon request, we organize formal dinner parties,
campfires with roasting of boar, deer or pig. Under special grill shelter,
we serve delicacies roasted on a grate − ribs in honey, sirloin wrapped
in bacon, shish kebab out of boar and many others. Besides, we serve
fresh fish smoked by us.
