In January 2014 the Public Elementary School in Opole will commence a study based exactly on the American
curriculum. The 10-person personnel of Polaris management including their families will arrive to Opole from USA
and this individual study will embrace pupils - the children of the workers.
- We have got already a contract and approved program
of study and we are waiting yet for the final decisions
of the Ministry of National Education – explains Irena
Koszyk, director of Opole Local Authority Education
Department. – We were striving for the best possible
and most accurate implementation of American
study program here that is far more different than
the English one available in Europe. We have been
given a far -reaching assistance from one institution
in Minneapolis where Polaris has its seat.
Owing to this American way of study introduced in
Opole the children of Polaris employees will be able
to learn in exact the same manner as they used to
do in USA with original school-books and teaching
materials. It is worth noting that after a year they will be able to come back to States and continue learning on the
same basis. In Opole they will be taught by two-language teaching personnel because part of the teachers have
already attended language practices in USA. A native speaker from USA will also be available for the classes. If
necessary the local authorities will secure elder pupils the study possibility in Public Gymnasium in Opole.
All the expenses related to study of young Americans in Opole will be covered by local authorities. - We are
determined to secure the best possible standard of living here in Opole for such top-of-the-range investor like
Polaris - added Irena Koszyk.
American library in Opole
‘America in your library’ is the motto of the
special program that has been launched in 2012
in Municipal Library in Opole. It encompasses
many unique and interesting meetings that are
inspired by the young and vigorous collective
of librarians committed to this project. This
initiative regards lectures, cultural activities
and encounters with interesting people who
wants to share with others their knowledge and
experience about America.
Readers have an opportunity to regularly
participate in a series of discourses led by travelers
who are regularly backpacking their way through
America. English-speaking computer games
are held each summer. On the occasion of the
Independence Day on the 4th of July the readers
took part in a ‘Coolinary Independence Day‘ with
a culinary contest to bake the most delicious and
original Independence Day Muffin.
On the occasion of ‘USA Flag’s Day’ a plastic contest was held for kids to picture American flag in the most beautiful
and original way. They might show their fondness for books by taking part in a friendly rivalry under a motto ‘I love
books’. Of immense popularity are ‘New York Evenings’ – a series of travel and film lectures devoted to NY what is
accompanied by the presentation of English-language films.
Municipal Library in Opole is one of seven libraries in Poland that implemented a partnership program
„america@your library®” prepared by American Embassy in Warsaw. By means of this smart undertaking the
collection of books in Opole has been enriched by English-language positions such as encyclopedias, dictionaries
and monographs concerning history, culture, geography, politics, sociology and literature of USA.

I have visited 14 regions in Poland so far and Opolskie seems to be the most dynamic
and business – friendly of them all. I am delighted to see its dynamism and youthfulness
what according to my opinion makes this place a very promising location for American

In October 2011, the company began to render services in
the area of precise aluminum processing at a new location in
Opole.
Apart from precise machining of complex shapes, our company also provides services in the scope of comprehensive preparation of all kinds of machines, including specialized equipment for metal processing satisfying design and customer

Donaldson Company Inc. is a world leader in production of
filtration systems and replacement parts . World-class concern is heading for building a factory producing industrial
filters in Skarbimierz. In order to realize it a 10 hectares parcel
have been already bought in this location and the company
also have got a business permit for their activities. Donaldson
Company Inc. investment will be located within the sub-zone
of Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone in Skarbimierz. Looking
for the most business-friendly place for this investment Donaldson has been considering Czech Republic and Slovakia locations but after all they decided for Opolskie region as the
most satisfactory in terms of prevailing conditions. The area of
the factory in Skarbimierz is supposed to reach 10 thousand
square meters but the company is already considering a buildup. In the first stage of production the firm plans to create 138
jobs but in the long run about 500 jobs is expected. The official
opening of the Donaldson factory in Skarbimierz is planned
for 2015 and the plant in Poland will be third in Europe of that
brand. Donaldson company has commenced its production
activity in 1915 . Initially a three-person industrial facility has
been throughout years converted into a global corporation
employing about 12 thousand workers.

In Skarbimierz, 31 miles (50 kilometers) southeast of Wroclaw,
KEIPER (part of Johnson Controls) started manufacturing front
seat structures for passenger cars at the beginning of the third
quarter in 2009. The new facility with 19,000 square meters of
floor space was officially opened on the 100,000 square meters site on September 2, 2009. In addition to the production
area for assembly and painting the site includes offices along
with logistics and storage space. The new site is situated close
to the A4 highway between Wroclaw and Krakow,
31 miles (50 kilometers) from Wroclaw Airport.

METAL PARTS
The Marcegaglia manufacturing facility in Kluczbork, Poland
was inaugurated in 2010 and is mainly dedicated to the production of carbon steel welded precision tubes for a wide
range of applications. Marcegaglia Kluczbork also hosts a service center for strips and sheets.
The facility spreads over 80,000 sqm of covered surface devoted to manufacturing and storage, within an overall area
of 450,000 sqm. It currently hosts 6 tubing mills working from
hot rolled, cold rolled, pickled and galvanized carbon steel, 2
coil slitting lines, as well as a packaging line for strips and 2 cut
to length machines for sheets.
The manufacturing system in Kluczbork is efficiently equipped
to deliver just in time tube products to the market, assisted by
a well-established pre-sales and after-sales service. The large
warehouse area allows the plant to serve as the main logistics
hub for the complete range of Marcegaglia flat and long products for the Central and Eastern European markets.
The plant in Kluczbork has been added to another plant in Poland based in Praszka where Marcegaglia has located its production of insulating panels, condensers and heat exchangers
and, since 2012, a new production of steel handles for broom
and DIY.

Wenden in Süd-Westfalen Deutschland we have continually
expanded our manufacturing capacities to the extent that

2012, the company MM Systemy Sp z oo was established as
a subsidiary of Muhr group to expand the scope of action in

In the spring of this year, preparations began to shift a 400 tonnes
Beutler press which was completed in May. Since June, the company MM Systemy provides the first self-produced stampings.

In the 60’s the company began to operate in the metal industry
and established cooperation with the Commercial Vehicle Factory in Nysa. The early 70’s mark the beginning of cooperation
with other automotive plants: Truck Factory in Lublin and the
Car Factory in Tychy.

Polaris Poland is building a quad and snow scooter factory in
Opole of 100 million worth with the perspective of production capacity reaching 25 thousand quads a year. American
investment is of ‘greenfield’ type and is being located on the 12
hectares area in Opole. The production hall itself is of 32 thousand
m2 area. The company guarantees a long-term and persistent interaction with subcontractors. The production of ATV encompasses
four stages: pressing, welding, painting and assembling with last
three stages planned to be conducted in the factory in Opole. In
the main hall there will be sections destined for press facility, paint
shop , production lines and assembly zone with highly-advanced
industrial robots. In the first stage of production Polaris Polska will
employ 350 workers but within 5 years the company plans to create
about 500 jobs. Polaris company launched its production activity in
1954 in Minnesota. 70 percent of its output are quads. Since 1998
Polaris have been also producing Victory motorbikes and two years
ago the company bought the license for the legendary Indian brand.
