Endly the new magazine is ready with a lot of new teabags. It was a very nice
time here in the Netherlands. Every supermarket had new teabags. And it was
so much that I couldn’t place all the bags in this magazine. From most of the
brands are more tastes. But not only new Teatags you can find in this magazine. It is pitty that I did not have all those scans. So please send me scans
from new teabags and new teatags. More in this magazine is a nice article
about teatag quotes from Sunfield, My story from Vaclav and of course the
catalogue. In a couple of months there will be the first International Teabag
Meeting in Denmark. For those who go to this meeting and did not pay yet, we
ask to pay as soon as possible The Dutch people can pay it to me. Only when
you have pay the bed is sure for you. For those who have not yet registered to participate in this
meeting please inform as soon as possible to Mitzie, so she knows how many people will come. I hope

The graphic designer Peter Hewitt, founder of Tea Forte in Concord, in 2003 created the company’s signature pyramid-shaped nylon bag. A pleasing combination of geometric and organic:
tall polyhedral infuser packs, each with a disarmingly natural-looking leaf/sprout tag.
It’s a one-off portable teastick that gives more convenient experience to users. Tea bags are attached inside the teastick so there is no need of using sticks separately for stirring nor to throw
away the tea bags. You are also able to purchase different flavours individually without any obligation to buy same ones in a big pack. The form of the design was inspired by Japanese CHASEN
(Loose leaf tea stirring equipment). It brings a feel of traditional procedure of making tea and it
preserve the essence and value of the history.

One of the advantages of collecting tea cans is the
possibility of finding very old tea cans, as people
very often leave the old tea cans in their kitchen for
decoration or use them for various domestic purposes. In addition to tea cans I also collect tea bags
of which I have over 13000.
My name is Václav Horák and I am from the city
of Prague in the Czech Republic. Ever since I
was a child, collecting various things has always been my great hobby and passion. As
many of my Czech colleague collectors I used
to have many collections ranging from
stamps, cheese labels, Matchbox cars to minerals and tea cans. However, very few my colleagues continued collecting until today. I also
abandoned several of my collections, except
for the one, tea collection, which has remained
special to me and determined my collecting direction in future. The reason why I became a
tea collector is the fact that I can watch tea in
all areas of my life and continue being inspired
in expanding my existing tea collection. My
current tea collection includes various metal
tea cans ranging from fresh to packaged tea,
which means that every tea can has a specific
label, weight as
well as a brand
and a producer.
I presently own
more than 1600
different pieces
from various
countries
throughout the
world. As I
travel frequently
I always bring
from my trips
new pieces into
my collection.
However, I do not only
collect tea as such, I
am also a big fan of tea
consumption. During
my travels I have even
tasted various exotic
teas and I have also
visited a diversity of
tea museums. Besides,
as every tea collector I
have my favorite brand
which is LIPTON. Last
year I even presented a
part of my collection at
the exhibition
“Elephants and Tea”,
which took place in Museum in Brandys nad Labem
and I was greatly
surprised by the
participation of
several thou
sand visitors. In
conclusion, I
would like to
mention that I
very much look
forward to getting to know new
tea collectors for
exchange from anywhere in the world.

Sri Lanka now holds the Guinness World Record
for the largest cup of tea.'VIVA' the world's number 1 tea exporter entered in to the Guinness
World Records book by preparing the world's largest Tea Cup with 1,000 gallons. They have brewed 4,000 liters of Water with 64 kgs of Tea , 160
kg of Sugar and 875 kg of VIVA to make the tea
cup. The record was previously held by a Health
Centre in Fort Scott, Kansas, USA. Sri Lanka entered the Guinness book of records today for the
world’s largest Tea cup on october 9 - 2010.
Four thousand litres of water and 875 kilogramsof
Viva were used in this process. In addition 160 kilograms of sugar and 64 kilograms of tea were also used.
Representatives of the Guinness Committee from
England were present. They confirmed that it
was the world’s largest cup of tea. Viva Company
was associated with Sri Lanka’s most loved beverage. The record is a tribute to the thousands of
tea consumers in the country who consume their
tea with malt.
