Włodzimierz Appel is Professor of Classical Philology

Włodzimierz Appel (born 1951) is professor of Classical Philology at the
Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and curently holds the Chair of
Greek Language and Civilisation. He is interested in the history of Greek
literature, Greek epic poetry, Greek elegy and epigram, Greek epigraphy and
lexicography and in the history of classical scholarship.
He is the author of the following books:
