T
“Yet God has revealed this wisdom to us through the Spirit.
The Spirit scrutinizes all matters, even the deep things of God.”
here is a certain
wisdom which is
not of this age or of
the rulers of this age who
are headed for destruction
(1 Cor 2:6). If we do not
have this wisdom, we will
be so ultimately foolish as
to crucify the Lord of glory (1 Cor 2:8; Heb 6:6).
The only way to receive
this wisdom is through
the Holy Spirit.
The Lord requires us to
have a holiness which surpasses that of the scribes
and Pharisees (Mt 5:20).
He even commands us to
be holy as He is holy (1
Pt 1:16). We must not be
angry with our brothers
and sisters but reconciled
(Mt 5:22-24). We must be
sexually pure not only in
deed but in thought (Mt
5:28ff). Our marriages
and conversations are to
be under Jesus’ lordship
(see Mt 5:32, 37). We
must even love our enemies as Jesus loves them
(Mt 5:44). Jesus expects
us to meet the highest
standards ever set for morality. We do this not by
our power but only by the
Spirit Who makes us holy
(see Zec 4:6).
We need the Holy Spirit
in order to be wise, holy,
pure, and free. Without
the Holy Spirit, we cannot
please God (see Rm 8:89). Therefore, repent and
pray for the Spirit, Whom
we have received in Baptism and Confirmation,
to be stirred into flame (2
Tm 1:6-7). Come, Holy
Spirit!

NIEDZIELNA REFLEKSJA NAD SŁOWEM BOŻYM ...
Co jest normalne?
Lepiej
być
kaleką
czy martwym? Każdy
wolałby
żyć
okaleczony, niż zginąć. A jednak, gdy w grę wchodzi
satysfakcja
seksualna,
wielu woli stracić życie
i zabić w sobie resztę
sumienia, niż pozbyć się
przyjemności zmysłowej.
Owszem, jesteśmy słabi
seksualność nie od razu
jest w człowieku dojrzała,
ale to nie oznacza, że
mamy zupełnie jej się
podporządkować. Wszystkie wymiary ludzkiej natury potrzeba kształtować i
zapewne niejednokrotnie
zdarzają się potknięcia,
ale niekiedy doskonałość
setnego wydarzenia jest
efektem 99 porażek.
Wartość wielu zmagań,
nawet
nieudanych,
ujawnia się dopiero w
ostatecznym osiągnięciu
zwycięstwa dzięki łasce.
Jezus domaga się odcięcia
się od źródeł grzechu,
posługując się mocnym
porównaniem.
Wiemy
dobrze, że nie chodzi
mu o fizyczne okaleczenie siebie samego, lecz
uniemożliwienie grzechu
poprzez odcięcie się od
sytuacji lub środowisk, w
których nasza wierność
lub czystość nie miałaby
szans na przetrwanie.
Zauważa się niepokojącą
tendencje we współczesnej
moralności. Jeśli coś jest
trudne, to zmienia się
moralną kategorię takiego zachowania i już się
nie podejmuje żadnego
wysiłku. Skoro jest coraz
więcej pijanych kierowców, to może stworzyć
dla nich specjalny pas na
autostradzie?
Czystość
i wierność są trudnymi
zadaniami
moralnymi,
niektórzy więc przestają
nieczystość i niewierność
nazywać nieczystość i
niewierność
nazywać
grzechem i nadają im
kategorię
zachowania
normalnego.
Normalne
nie jest to, co powszechne, tylko to, co zgodne
z normą, czyli z zasadą.
Dla chrześcijan zbiorem
zasad są Boże słowa, a te

dzisiejszym fragmencie
Ewangelii. Jeśli ktoś jest
seryjnym mordercą, to
nawet po 99 zabójstwie
nie można uznać, że
jego zachowanie jest
normalne. Sporo ludzi
kradnie i oszukuje, ale to
wcale nie zmienia faktu,
że to co robią jest nieuczciwe. Czy dlatego, że
ktoś jest nałogowym
pijakiem
powinniśmy
uznać, że to co czyni
jest normalne, i zwolnić
go z odpowiedzialności
za awantury i pobicia
dokonywane we własnej
rodzinie? Na pewno nie
wie, co robi i nie panuje
nad sobą, ale inni wiedzą,
co on robi i mogą nad
nim zapanować. Na pewno niektóre zachowania
kompulsywne są poza
oceną moralną i należy
komuś pomóc bez łajania
go moralizującymi „Weź
się w garść!”. Czy jednak
w kwestiach moralnych
nie popełnia się za często
błędu generalizowania?
Jeśli ktoś jest znerwicowanym osobnikiem i zupełnie
nie panuje nad masturbacyjnymi rozładowaniami,
czy to znaczy, że każdy
przypadek masturbacji u
pozostałych ludzi nie jest
grzechem? Gdyby Chrystus żył w XXI wieku,
zapewne wygłosiłby inną
wersję tego nakazu: „Jeśli
internet jest ci powodem
do grzechu, to lepiej go w
ogóle nie mieć”. Dla ilu z
nas telewizja kablowa jest
bardziej integralną częścią
organizmu niż ręka czy
oko?

piekła, aby nawracała grzeszne dusze. Nakazał
jej przysyłać co tydzień raporty: 1 tydzień: Tu
Dziewica Orleańska. Zaczęłam pić alkohol. 2
tydzień: Tu Dziewica Orleańska. Zaczęłam palić.
3 tydzień: Tu Orleańska.

Dobiegają
powoli
końca tegoroczne duszpasterskie odwiedziny
kolędowe, których w
tym roku było prawie
dwukrotnie więcej niż w
lata poprzednie. Była to
niepowtarzalna okazja
żeby móc spotkać się z
wieloma z Was w gronie rodzinnym i byście
mogli podzielić się
swoimi wrażeniami na
temat życia na emigracji,
podzielić rożnymi problemami czasem bardzo
osobistymi, czy też tymi
dnia codziennego. Dla
mnie z kolei jako duszpasterza, ważnym było
by móc usłyszeć także
Wasze spostrzeżenia i
opinie na temat naszego
funkcjonowania
jako
parafii i polskiej wspólnoty. Wiele z tych cennych uwag będę się
starał wprowadzać w
życie w ciągu roku
i przy rożnych stosownych okazjach. Dlatego na koniec chciałbym
podziękować
Wam
wszystkim, którzyście
mnie zaprosili i ugościli.
Z całego serca dziękuję
za Waszą życzliwość mi
okazaną nie tylko podczas ”Kolędy”, ale także
w ciągu całego roku, jak
również serdeczne „Bóg
