tours range from township and cape tours to Winelands tours, nature tours,
and seasonal whale-watching excursions. Declared a World Heritage Site in
1999, nearby Robben Island housed Nelson Mandela during most of his 27-year
prison sentence. Weather permitting, tours of the island's museum and
conservation area are very popular and may require booking far in advance.
If you have time to explore further, several safari lodges are found
approximately two hours outside of Cape Town. For those seeking thrilling
adventures, extreme sports such as sky diving, shark cage diving, motor boat
harbour trips, and more, are offered by multiple companies around Cape Town.
