THE QUALITY OF THE GLASS PACKAGING
Abstract: The modern market requires manufacturers, products of the highest quality. The
company wishing to rely on the market must meet customer expectations. In order to ensure
high quality products are used in the methods and tools of quality management. The paper
presents results of research conducted in the company produces glass packaging. Pareto
Diagram - Lorenz was used for the detection of incompatibilities that arise during the
production of glass packaging. Using FMEA method, the degree of risk, causes, effects
occurring discrepancies. In the company carried out the survey “BOST”. Employees were
asked to answer on the question: E8. Survey results were used to analyze the factors, which
should be paid special attention to improving the functioning of the enterprise.

THE IMPORTANCE OF VISUAL CONTROL IN A GEOTEXTILES PRODUCTION
Abstract: In the chapter analyze the product - geotextiles due to: product characteristics,
methods of quality control, manufacturing process, the results of quality was conducted.
Analysis of quality results was carried out in relation to nonconformities arising from the
production of raw geotextiles and coating inconsistencies arising from the raw fabric. It was
found that the critical nonconformities of geotextiles: raw - are arirregular interlacing, scar
weft and the warp and dirt, stains, while the raw fabric coating process - the folds and
wrinkles. There have also analyzes the role of visual inspection by the enterprise on the basis
of the BOST results from the E3 was conducted.

PROTECTION OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS IN THE PROCESS OF
TRANSFER OF UNIVERSITY KNOWLEDGE INTO INDUSTRIAL PRACTICE
Abstract: Protection of intellectual property that is created on campus is the area that
currently requires special attention especially in the process of knowledge transfer between
theory and practice. At present knowledge transfer from universities to enterprises is impeded
not only by universities and research institutes, but business practice as well. The article
describes models used in the field of intellectual property protection, current situation in the
area of diffusion of knowledge and particular examples of implementation of knowledge
transfer in the conditions of Slovakia. The implementation of knowledge transfer with
emphasis on the protection of intellectual property rights may ultimately bring competitive
advantages not only for higher education institutions, but also for business sphere.
Key words: intellectual property, knowledge transfer, university, innovative model, licensing

INCREASING QUALITY OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION SERVICES BY MEANS
OF IMPLEMENTING SYSTEMS OF QUALITY MANAGEMENT
Abstract: Systems of quality management have become a necessity not only for companies,
but increasingly also for public administration at all its levels. One of the tools of selfassessment determined for public administration is also the model CAF, as a helping tool for
understanding techniques of quality management and their application in its own activities.
The main purpose of the model CAF is to provide a simple and easily usable concept of
assessment of organizations of public administration in the European countries. The focus
motive of our study has become the employee of public administration, satisfying their needs
and expectations, building their trust towards the employer and increasing services of public
administration with their active participation and involvement. We also pay attention to
a practical example of using systems of quality management at a public college with a reached
partial result.
Key words: system of quality management, public administration, model CAF, employee

EFFECT OF INPUT MATERIAL TO FINAL PRODUCT QUALITY
Abstract: This chapter analyzes the causes of nonconforming product during sheet forming.
Analyses of the steel sheets were subjected to a protective zinc coating. Those have occurred
during the forming of non-conforming products. To analyze the causes of nonconforming
product has been used a static tensile test according to ČSN EN 10002-1, Vickers hardness
test according to EN ISO 6507-1, microscopic evaluation of microstructure. Based on the
results obtained were expressed conclusions.

Abstract: The analysis of ferrous burden materials used in blast furnace process is presented
in this paper. Chemical composition was chosen as the main quality factor of these materials:
content of main chemical element, iron, and other elements and compounds. In the second
part of this paper the quality analysis of pig iron produced in blast furnace process is shown.
In the last part of this paper the effect of quality of burden materials on the quality of pig iron
is presented. The analysis includes monthly results for the values of the parameters during 8
months. The analysis is based on results from blast furnace department of Polish steelworks.
Key words: quality, quality analysis, burden materials, pig iron

PROBLEMS OF QUANTITATIVE METALLOGRAPHY
Abstract: The paper deals with some problems of quantitative metallography which includes
evaluation of microstructure by etalons, measurement of structural parameters by coherent
test grids and automatical image analysis. Some advantages and disadvantages of these
methods are shown in this contribution on the example of evaluation of microstructure of
graphitic cast irons.

COMMON SYSTEM OF QUALITY ASSESSMENT (CAF) AT UNIVERSITIES
Abstract: One of the most perspective tools for the implementation of quality in public
organizations is a model of self-assessment CAF (The Common Assessment Framework CAF). The essence of the model is in the rapid and clear determination of the characteristics
of individual organization and detecting weaknesses. The CAF helps to effective elimination
and identification of weaknesses and contribute to better using of modern tools of
management in full range of public area. This article aims to inform the management,
teaching, researching and other university employees, but also students about the CAF, its
structure, goals and inform them about the steps and methods of its implementation in public
sector.
Key words: model CAF, quality, quality management, self-assessment, strengths and
weaknesses, action plan

HEAT TREATMENT OF HIGH-TEMPERATURE SUPERCONDUCTING TAPES
BASED ON YBA2CU3O7
Abstract: This paper presents the results of investigations of a state-of-the art hightemperature ceramic superconducting tape of SF 12050 series. The study focuses on
examination of microstructure and analysis of chemical composition in superconducting tapes
of SF series. It was also presented a rotary plan of heat treatment performed for
superconducting ribbon SF12050. Analysis of chemical composition was carried out using
scanning microscope with chemical composition microanalyser EDX. The paper presents
microscope images which are a result of examinations of the structures by means of light
microscope and scanning microscope.
Key words: high-temperature superconductors, heat treatment, analysis of chemical
composition, microstructure

INCREASING QUALITY IN EDUCATIONAL PROCESS THROUGH
APPLICATION OF E-LEARNING
Abstract: The paper deals about new form of education, differences between e-learning and
classical type of education. This work involves possibilities of e-learning utilization as a
support for study and it is specialized on positives and negatives of e-learning utilization
supporting the study. In the end of the paper there are results of application of e-learning
educational system into Department of Business Economy in Technical University in Zvolen.
Key words: education, quality, e-learning, efficiency

STEELS QUALITY – ASSUMPTION OF HIGH FATIGUE PROPERTIES
Abstract: In this work there are published experimental results about fatigue endurance of
two structural steels investigated in high cycle regime at low-frequency fatigue testing
(rotating bending, f = 40 Hz, T = 20 ± 3 °C, R = -1). The microstructure quality (grain size,
inclusions) play very important role in the fatigue endurance prediction.
