In the first part of the debates, the parity was assured. For example, during the programme
from 02.03.2015 about mobbing and sexual harassment in workplace two men and two
women were invited (see table below).
Two debates are exceptions of the rule. First was about mining industry (19.01.2015); only men
were invited. Second focused on Magdalena Ogórek running for the President of Poland
in relation with sexism in Polish politics (26.01.2015); only women were invited.

CITATIONS
26.01.2015
Ilona Łepkowska: When a woman candidates, you always ask women for commentary. Like if
you want us to pick on her and then you could say that she's attacked by old harpies because
of her youth, beauty and perfect figure.
Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska noticed, than when it comes to women, men use certain
vocabulary, that they would never use for other men.
Beata Kempa talks about violence in polish politics, she self describes her speech as „feminist”
(!) and that Magdalena Ogórek's dresses are widely commented, while male garments are
never discussed.
Joanna Senyszyn: (…) the Cabinet is calles „the girls”.
Senyszyn adds, that men's presence in politics seems natural, while women must prove that
she's better and competent to be noticed.
Agnieszka Holland: Sexism in polish politics is an established fact. And it's present not only in
politics. Our society is patriarchal, so there's a particular way of speaking about women, making
fun of them, a special language and some kind of cruelty that awakes the very moment it
senses any weakness, any uncertainty. You can see that in other countries too, but in Poland
it's very strong. It's linked to ciolence of the public debate, glorification of hate. It's everywhere,
even in mainstream media, even in news.
Tomasz Lis: Is it present in SLD's (Alliance of Democratic Left) campaign?
Agnieszka Holland: Oh, I didn't tell that the SLD's candidates fulfill our views on how a
presidential candidate should be like. But I assure you, that if she was men, the reception would
be way diffrent. Taking Mrs. Kopacz – the language she's described with has nothing to do with
her being wrong or right, being successful or failing, if she's sympathetic and cares for the
country or if she's driven by her party interests. If she was a men, this language would change.
Agnieszka Holland (after Tomasz Lis told that this language didn't appear in his programme):
Woman's day today in your programme, then.
Tomasz Lis: Here woman's day ihappens every week.
