NEW EVENTS
PTA has added two new events to the calendar
this year: Mother-Daughter Tea on Saturday,
February 21, and Father-Son Picnic on Saturday,
May 30. More information coming soon!
JEFFERSON’S BOOK FAIR
Jefferson's Book Fair is coming soon! The Book
Fair will be open before and after school February
27-March 6. Family Reading Night is Wednesday,
March 4 from 5-7pm and the book fair will be open
then, too. If you are interested in helping with the
book fair, please email Kristi Boitano at

ONCE UPON A TIME...
Enter Jefferson PTA's story writing contest! One
winner from each grade level will be chosen to
read their story at Family Reading Night on March
4th. For more information, see attached entry

Do you know of someone who has made significant contributions to PTA, Jefferson School, and
our community?
HONORARY SERVICE AWARD
The Honorary Service Award is given to an individual in special recognition of outstanding
service to children and youth. This is a person who has been active in the school and PTA for 3
or more years. It can be someone who chairs committees, someone you see working hard at
school and PTA events or someone who consistently gives their time and support to make
Jefferson Elementary a better place for our kids.
It is a high honor and should be an individual whose outstanding service to children and youth in
your community, goes above and beyond what is asked of them.
VERY SPECIAL PERSON AWARD
The Very Special Person Award is given to an individual in special recognition of outstanding
service to children and youth. This is a person who has been active in the school and PTA for 1
or more years. It can be someone who volunteers at the school, runs a special school program,
or someone who supports PTA events with their time or financial support to make Jefferson
Elementary a better place for our kids.
