Social and Legal Advice Centre under the patronage of the Polish Commissioner for Civil
Rights Protection has started operating in May 2008 as an initiative of the Polish Chaplaincy in
Dublin. It was created as an answer to the need that has existed within the Polish Community in
Dublin for the full information concerning living in Ireland that would be provided in Polish.
Polish Chaplaincy has been a natural place for such organization as a lot of people in trouble
seek help and advice there. Since it was established in 2008 the Centre provided over 2000 free
advices.
The project provides Polish people in need with free of charge social and legal advice as well as
general information concerning various aspects of life in Ireland. The main goal of all our
activities is to integrate Polish people in the Irish society. Whether it is through explaining to our
clients the rules of certain areas of law or helping them to understand their rights and duties as
citizens, we always aim at their social inclusion.
