Warsaw is one of the highest European metropolises. In the skyscraper ranking, it is
superseded only by Frankfurt am Main, Madrid and London. And all this is thanks to the Palace
of Culture and Science, which is two hundred and thirty-seven metres high and which was
built in nineteen fifty-five on the ashes of post-war Warsaw. From the observation terrace,
situated on the thirtieth floor, you can admire a fabulous panorama. The clock, decorating the
palace, is the third largest tower timepiece in the world.
