Jobs description

Performing changes and tasks according to standardized operating procedures provided by
the client

Server administration and support

Applyingpatches and system upgrades

Installing and configuring backup clients

Performing data backup and recovery

Monitoring backup infrastructure

Creating and maintaining documentation up-to-date
Candidate’s profile
Experience in administration of at least one of the following OS:

Oracle Solaris 8/10

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9/10/11

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5/6
Competencies in:

system installation and configuration

network configuration (DHCP, static IP, VLAN, etc.)

applyingpatches and system upgrades

user and group management

file systems management

services management

Knowledge of logical volume managers (LVM, VxVM, SDS) is a plus

Knowledge of ITIL process is a plus

Fluent verbal and written German and communicative English
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Telecommunication, etc) is a
plus

In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals

ThoroughunderstandingLocalArea Network

Experience with network routing protocols

Knowledge about network securitysolutions

Very good troubleshooting skills and problem solving abilities

Network certification on professional level in any of paths offered by Cisco (CCNP or CCSP
preferred) is a plus

Solid experience with Unix/Linux is a plus

Experience and flexibility regarding on-call responsibilities

German and English - good written and oral communication skills
