Ringier Axel Springer Poland launches new business magazine
Pierwszy Milion
Pierwszy Milion (The First Million) has been launched by Ringier Axel Springer Poland today
and addresses Polish entrepreneurs who want to start their own business or to expand their
existing firms. The magazine focuses on issues relevant to Polish entrepreneurs and owners
of small businesses or people who are considering starting their own business.
The magazine offers guidance on how to achieve business goals step by step. Employees,
graduates and women returning to the labor market after having a child will find inspirations
and tips on how to start their own business. Experts will write about how to prepare a sound
business plan. Successful entrepreneurs will offer useful advice based on their experience.
Ideas for new businesses are accompanied by the stories of people who have seized the
opportunity and now run profitable firms.
In the section „A million ideas" the reader can find tips on where to look for inspiration to start
a new business. Editors also advise on where to find the money to establish and develop a
business – the section "A lacking million" is a guide on loans, market and venture capital
funds. The "After Hours" is a place for articles on lifestyle and psychology.
"It is a market niche which has not been explored by any publisher so far. We decided to
grasp its potential, which is why we test the publishing model of Pierwszy Milion, "says
Paweł Tomaszek, Publishing Director of Magazines in Ringier Axel Springer Poland.
"Working at Forbes as an opinion-forming magazine about large-scale business, we see that
the mechanisms to earn, whether the first million or another billion, are the same. We intend
to prove it with examples of people, companies and ideas that have become successful, or
are just waiting for their opportunity", says Kazimierz Krupa, Chief Editor of Pierwszy Milion
and the Polish edition of Forbes magazine.
The cover story of this first issue – "10 businesses resistant to the crisis" – describes the
market niches that grow despite the economic downturn, such as wellness industry or IT
applications for agriculture.
Pierwszy Milion has a modern layout and a large number of illustrations and graphics
accompanying the texts. The 128-page magazine will be available on the market for three
months for the price of 14,90 PLN. Pierwszy Milion is also available for iPad at the price of
2,99 EUR. The magazine’s editorial team is a team of Forbes editors and its Editor-in-Chief
is Kazimierz Krupa. Pierwszy Milion is supported by an advertising campaign on radio,
internet and the media of Ringier Axel Springer Poland.
